Here I am back with the review of another sunscreen since I solemnly swore to you guys that I’m going to bring forth quite a few of The VLCC’s range of sunscreens so that you guys might have your pick. This one that I will be reviewing today is the VLCC Sunscreen: Sweat Free Sun Block SPF 40.
Basic Info About VLCC Sunscreen: Sweat Free Sun Block SPF 40
What is it and who is it for?
It’s a sweat-free sunscreen which comes in a tube with a secure flip cover.
It’s suitable for all skin types.
Now a lot of us are more exposed to the sun than the rest of us who occasionally come out in the sun. But for the beauties who are taking a huge dose of that Vitamin D out there, I would recommend this sunscreen in particular.
Not only does it have a super High SPF but it also claims to be sweat free which is a Bonus point – You don’t want to be out in the sun and sweating double because of your sunscreen for sure.
Now the one here is a small tube which is 95 Rs for 35 Gms (maybe a trial pack)
and the bigger one which is 325 Rs for 100gms.
Sensitive skin alert
Natural/ organic / vegan
Has extracts of the comfrey plant though.
What does the brand claim??
VLCC claims that the formula is designed in such a way that not only is it going to protect you against tanning but also against aging and yet remain sweat free.
The extracts of the comfrey plant also claim to soothe the irritated skin and prevent any redness and give a satin smooth finish to the skin.
How to use
I usually dot my sunscreen all over my face i.e. just take the sunscreen on the tip of your finger and make small close dots all over the face.
Do this 20 minutes prior to going out.
My experience with VLCC Sunscreen: Sweat Free Sun Block SPF 40
Now when they say its sweat free I wasn’t really going to believe it because no matter which sunscreen I have tried so far they make you sweat profusely.
So I was especially excited about trying out this one and it did turn out to be sweat free.
Pat on the back to VLCC for living up to that claim.
The sunscreen is rather watery and lotion like and quickly disappears in the skin like a moisturizer and doesn’t give you that feeling as if you are wearing anything on your face.
Absorbed really well but a white glow? Heavy feel? Sweating? No nothing nada!
Rather it left my skin feeling a bit softer and supple than before – provided good moisturization too I guess.
Overall Performance of VLCC Sunscreen: Sweat Free Sun Block SPF 40
- Disappears in the skin after application
- moisturizing effect
- Sweat-free or low sweat in any case
- A good amount of SPF
- Light feel
- No oily or greasy feeling experienced
- Pricey as compared to the other sunscreens
- Doesn’t give a dewy look (which I personally love)
Would I Recommend??
Well for someone who has a prolonged exposure to sun this looks like one good deal Sweat free and good high SPF combined! But you can’t wear it alone if you are looking for a light daylight look.
I would rather give it a 4 in terms of sun protection and for living up to its claim!
