Facial cleansers with deep cleansing properties often come handy for me when my skin starts to behave badly due to weather change, excess humidity or acne outbreak. That is why I always keep some mild cleanser with pore unclogging capability. Today I am reviewing one such face cleanser called VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash. Recently VLCC has launched 4 paraben and artificial colorant free face washes in their Ayurveda range. This one is one of them. I have tried two other face washes from this range and both of them did quite well to my skin. VLCC’s products perform great for my acne prone skin; I have never had complains about any of them in the past. Let’s move forward to know if this Turmeric and Tulsi based cleanser could keep VLLCC’s goodwill for me or not!

My Experience with VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Face Wash
Packaging- This face wash is packaged in a half opaque-half transparent plastic squeeze tube with a transparent flip open lid. The packaging looks quite similar to the Haldi & Chandan face wash from the same range but this one’s theme color seems to be lemon yellow while the other one was colored in deep yellow. The packaging is quite strongly built and is spill-proof. You can easily travel with the sleek tube.
Colour & Texture- This face wash has light yellow color and its consistency is a fluid type. It is a transparent product that produces medium froth when rubbed with water. Due to the thin consistency, I need to be really careful while squeezing out the product or the opening may dispense more product than required. This one is pretty easy to get rid of; no water wastage involved!
Fragrance- This face cleanser smells like raw turmeric. The fragrance is not strong and does not feel artificial to me. The turmeric powder we use for cooking has an almost similar smell so the fragrance would not bother anyone.
Experience- Out of the three face washes I own from VLCC’s Ayurveda range, this is the one I opt for most of the time. I really like how it smells plus it cleanses my face well. My oily skin attracts a lot of dirt at a time and this one helps me to get rid of that. I remove makeup with either cleansing milk or baby oil. Both of them are quite heavy for my skin so I need to remove the oily residue with something mild. I prefer this one for this purpose. It clears everything from the face with just one rinse without removing the natural moisture. It does not make my skin flaky dry or greasy. It does not cause new pimples either.
