Happy winter gorgeous women…
As I have mentioned in earlier reviews…I am a total fan of the Body Shop products. Now that the season of chills and snowflakes is here (I live in Kolkata …this was just metaphorical ;)) …I am addicted to using their body butter. I have used strawberry and Satsuma body butter before and this time I gave the lThe Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter version a shot….let’s see how my tryst fared.
Basic Info on The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter
Price: 1195/- (in store)
For 4.1 gm.
You can get it for around 670 INR on Amazon right now!!
You would obviously know this…TBS body care products are somewhat expensive. The body butter have however lived up to their reputation of being a good investment mostly but you won’t feel like purchasing if you compare their prices with drugstore (even high-end drugstore body lotion) brands.
The literature on this one reads “refreshingly spiced with zesty lime and mint” and “smooth on fresh hydration”. One sniff and you can get the refreshing fragrance of a well-made mojito.
My Experience with The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter
The body shop body butters come in attractive looking tubs…these aren’t exactly travel-friendly or hygienic but are cute to look at. I use a few empty tubs as storage containers nowadays.
When I flicked it on my hands…I got a smooth whipped cream like the texture as you can see in the pictures. The texture isn’t that thick as some other body butter… in fact, I would say that this is an all season body butter and… good for the sweaty humid climate. I required just a little to moisturize my arms…in fact you can see the exact amount on my hand.
My skin isn’t that dry overall and I don’t like thick creams that take forever to be absorbed. On that score, the TBS Virgin Mojito body butter scores well…it settles in the skin leaving it soft and lemony. However the virgin mojito fragrance though delicious will feel better in the summers.
Overall Performance of The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter
The USP of this body butter is its lovely fragrance and lightweight texture. It’s also enriched with community trade shea butter, Caribbean lime, and mint. This vegan product is utterly skin friendly and I have never experienced breakouts with this body butter. I have used this for some months now and can say that this is more of a summery body butter than a winter specific one. If you live in a dry climate then this probably won’t offer enough miniaturization.
That being said…this one is lovely if you don’t mind the rather expensive price tag and love the mojito flavor like me 🙂
Would I recommend?
This is limited edition I guess and I am not sure if a body shop is going to continue with the virgin mojito version for long. I have decided to stock a tub in advance for Kolkata’s dreaded summers. This one is a good buy.
