Hello my lovelies
I am back with a review from one of my Target brands OGX. When it comes to hair care OGX needs no introduction…their range of shampoos and conditioners are something that I wanted to try for a long time. The winters always make my hair dry and brittle so I thought of giving it some strength shots via the OGX Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Conditioner …Let’s check out my experience and see how this product fared.

Basic info on OGX Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Conditioner
Price: Rs 725/- for 385 ml (you can get it for lower prices on Amazon and Flipkart rarely…they don’t usually give major discounts)
The high prices are what stops me from frequently buying OGX products
All OGX products clearly state that they have a pure and simple approach towards beauty and they pride themselves on differentiating themselves from the usual pile of products. Everything about OGX right from the unusual shape of their bottles (they use recycled eco-friendly resin) to their fresh sometimes unusual ingredients and even their marketing strategy looks interesting which was one reason I so wanted to check this brand out.
My Experience with OGX Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Conditioner
I must say that I was impressed by the product description printed on the bottle. It says “indulge in rich, fortified keratin proteins that strengthen each strand, enhancing elasticity while resisting breakage caused by brushing and styling. The product contains argan oil that conditions and smoothes creating a beautiful shine. When I checked the ingredient list I found a load of chemicals too so that meant that this isn’t a completely organic product.
The container is travel-friendly…I have carried it with me on trips to far off hill stations and there was no spillage. The flip cap is strong…I have succeeded in breaking many flip capped bottles earlier but this one withstood my rough handling.
The conditioner has a very heavy texture…sometimes it just refuses to come out of the bottle and I have to press it really hard which kind of irritates me. The conditioner has a somewhat heavy yellow colored texture and smells strongly of fruits and flowers. I am not a fan of its fragrance. It requires some time to be thoroughly washed off too.
However, it spreads out easily on the hair…evens out nicely and only a little quantity is enough for my shoulder length hair. When I used this for the first time I waited for 3 to 5 minutes before washing the product and my hair came out looking no different from its usual avatar. However, post drying…it did look shiny and bouncy. I have been using this product for three months now and my hair is shinier…the hair fall seems to have reduced too. I will have to wait till the monsoons (which is like the peak hair fall season for me) till I am absolutely sure of its strengthening benefits.
Overall Performance of OGX Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Conditioner
The anti-breakage keratin oil conditioner is a heavy conditioner that is meant for dry hair. Women with an oily scalp would probably not find it suitable. The most visible advantage of using this product for me was the lovely sheen it gradually brings in my hair. This isn’t an instant result product…you have to keep using it for some time to see actual changes.
The bottle is nice and strong and eco-friendly too but it’s rather large so maybe if you like to pack light…this won’t be a travel-friendly option for you. However, there won’t be spillage and that’s a huge relief.
The OGX anti-breakage keratin oil conditioner worked well for me so far and I am happy with its performance. I would give this product a 4/5 rating.
Would I recommend?
I would recommend the keratin oil conditioner to women with dry hair. It would suit people who are looking for a conditioning product with fewer chemicals and yet capable of injecting life and shine in dull hair.
A warm thumbs up to this one :))
