My experience with NYX Macaron Butter Lip Balm

Packaging

Usual packaging. The body of the tube shows the color of the lip balm and has a twist up mechanism. The cap sits perfectly on the bottom. The name of the shade is also mentioned on the packaging

Colour and texture

The name of the shade is “macaron” and it is a light orange shade with a light bit of shimmers, that settle comfortably on the lips. It has a silky soft texture that glides easily on the lips and sits comfortably.

Fragrance

Ah, the fragrance is utterly amazing. It smells like candies and tarts, it has a sweet, fruity kind of smell which stays as long as the lip balm stays.

Experience

I have already had a great experience with the other butter balms in different shades. I purchased a lighter shade this time just to see how it would look on me. The shade is a really pretty orange with light shimmers in it. it is not overly shimmery and has a very sweet fruity fragrance to it. this smell remains as long as the lip balm stays. The shade stays for a good 4 to 5 hours after light or no meals. Even if the shade fades, the moisture remains. This comes in around 8 really pretty shades so you can choose what fits best for you. It glides like silk on the lips and doesn’t feather or smudge, but may transfer at times. In all, this is a great product for the price we pay and hence highly recommended.

Glossypolish verdict: The reduction in one point is due to the fact that it contains mineral oil and other chemicals. This can be easily substituted for your lipstick when going for a casual outing since this will protect and hydrate your lips as well as give a subtle hint of tint.
