When your eye makeup is dramatic, it’s best to go for most neutral and light of lip shades. A few days ago, I had done a cool blue eye makeup look. Naturally, I wanted something neutral and light to balance my overall look.
Now here is the thing. Beige or brown nude lipsticks do not suit most people. For times like these, a soft pink serves best! In this look I have mixed up two lipsticks Mat 1 by Maybelline (reviewed here) and the other one is MAC sweetie!

My Experience with MAC Sweetie Lipstick
This lipstick comes in a classic MAC packaging. To me this is MAC’s unsung hero. This lipstick has a luster finish. This is a plumy rose color, which looks beautiful on everyone!
If you like a glossy finish, with an everyday pink lips color-this is the one for you. This lipstick is really much pigmented. One swipe and you get a good color payoff.
The only grouch I have with this lipstick is that it does not have a long staying power. Its staying power is greatly increased by applying a lip liner underneath it.
Positives of MAC Sweetie Lipstick
- Satin finish
- Easy application
- Subtle shine on the lips
- Amazing shade of pink for summers
Negatives of MAC Sweetie Lipstick
- Staying power is less
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
If you like MAC lipsticks and want a light pink shade that is pretty versatile, I would recommend this.
