From as long as I can remember, I have always been a Revlon girl. I am in my fifties, so I guess loads and I mean loads of women my age have been a Revlon girl at some point in time.
Oh, I didn’t elaborate. By Revlon girl, I mean someone who has been using their lipsticks. I was introduced to MAC by my daughter and this is my review of the most used MAC lipstick that I own the MAC diva Lipstick.
Nowadays we have this concept of fall colors, maroon being put n the bucket of the autumn –wintery –cool weather colors.
But I disagree.
It is a versatile color that is very deep, very smart and actually the only perfect color for some occasions and outfits. Don’t you think so?

Basic Info about MAC Diva Matte Lipstick
It’s a deep maroon/ burgundy matte lipstick by MAC.
My Experience with MAC Diva Matte Lipstick
This lipstick comes in the standard MAC bullet. It has the same nostalgic vanilla scent that all lipsticks from their permanent line have.
This is my 5th bullet of the lipstick, so I consider myself pretty much a MAC Diva guru 🙂
The color is fabulous and rich. It is maroon with the right tones of red, pink and black in it. If Ruby Woo is the true red, this my friends is the universal maroon!
Single swipe gives an opaque pigmentation and the finish is matte. Not the retro matte dry matte, but a moist matte.
I am grateful for that for two reasons:
- It does not dry my lips like the Sahara, unlike the powder matte lipsticks we have now.
- It does not accentuate lip lines.
In fact, it feels perfectly comfortable on the lips.
There are very little transfer and no bleeding.
The staying power is a good 5-6 hours without eating. If you have very oily food, keep a bullet for touch-ups.
Wear a golden bronze shimmering eye and MAC diva; you will be THE Diva in the room!
