My Experience with Lotus Herbals Lip Lush Tinted Strawberry Crush

Packaging-

This lip balm comes in a red plastic bullet. Its click-shut lid is translucent and bears the brand logo and the shade name. The packaging is not as sturdy as Maybelline’s Baby Lips but it is not that easy to get cracked or broken. The main details are mentioned in its outer cardboard flap in which it is sealed in when it’s new. The only sad thing is that the brand did not mention the inactive ingredients; only the active ingredients are written.

Shade & Pigmentation-

The variant Strawberry Crush has a reddish pink tint to it. The tint gives translucent coverage to y lips. Its intensity is on the higher side in comparison with other tinted lip balms available here in India. The shade is going to fare across skin tone and it blends itself into naturally dark lip tint that we Indians majorly have.

Texture-

This is perhaps the biggest put-off of this lip balm for which I am highly disappointed. This lip balm has medium to low moisturizing capabilities. Plus, its texture is not smooth. If you look at my bullet’s picture carefully you will be able to see some gritty particles in the balm. These particles aid to the scratching of lips and uneven finish. I have tried to scrape off the particles from the surface of the balm but they appear again and again.

Fragrance-

This is another thing that I am not much fond of. I really like strawberry fragrance. But, this lip balm’s fragrance has a bitter note with its strawberry jelly type fragrance. I have used a pot lip balm from Lotus whose strawberry variant smells really good as opposed to this one.

Experience-

My experience with this lip balm is not a happy one. Its scratchy formula and lack of moisturizing power do not help my dry lips in any way. Its deeper tint is the only good thing I found out. Due to the shade selection and pigmentation, the shade looks quite flattering on everyone. It needs hard rubbing to get translucent coverage so lots of tugging and pulling involved. With the granular texture, the rubbing actually irritates my lips. The moisture it supplies goes off in an hour or so leaving the lips dry. I have used some nice pot lip balms from Lotus so my expectation towards this lip balm was quite high and it failed to keep my excitement intact.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Lotus Herbals Lip Lush Tinted Strawberry Crush failed to win my heart due to its filthy gritty texture, lack of nourishing power and unappealing fragrance. I will certainly not buy this stuff and do not recommend this lip balm to anyone. Please steer clear of this lip balm guys and invest your 150 bucks on some worthy lip balm.

Woah. Didn’t expect this. I think it is more of a lip scrub because of the presence of those gritty particles. You saved us sreeparna. Thank you. Absolutely beautiful review.
