Hello beautiful people,

Eyeliners and kajal are one of the very first makeup products that everyone invests in. They are one such thing which takes your entire look, be it heavy makeup or a simple daily look, to an entirely different level.

This review is about one of the products that would have been the first purchase in many makeup kits! The Lakme insta-liner water-resistant eyeliner.

Basic Info about Lakme Insta Liner Water Resistant Eyeliner

Price:

This is priced at Rs 110 for 9 ml of product.

Brand claim:

It is said to be water-resistant eyeliner. Not much information given on the package  !.

My Experience with Lakme Insta Liner Water Resistant Eyeliner:

Even though this is one of the very old products out there in the market, I never had the guts to try the liquid liners. I wasn’t familiar with them. So to get familiarized with the liquid liners, I was in search of some affordable and trusted brands. When I found this, the next moment it was right there in my vanity.

I have seen many people using this product for ages. This product comes in a glass bottle with a thin brush in the wand for the application. The length of the wand is very comfortable to use and the application is controllable. The consistency of the liner is not too runny or thick. On prolonged usage, the liner becomes thick, like nail polish. The other important thing to consider while purchasing this product is the brush. Brushes in some eye liners have uneven bristles which will never help in getting an even line. Check the brushes before buying the product!! J

Overall Performance of Lakme Insta Liner Water Resistant Eyeliner:

I have been using this liner for a long time and being a liquid liner beginner, it helps in précised application as its brush is thin. The application is also easy controllable. The liner claims to be water resistant but when I just splash some water on my face, I got Racoon eyes. Sadly, it is not water resistant.

The liner takes ages to dry and it gets smudged all over if it is not dried. So it needs a lot of time of time to get dry.

I sit for around 5-7 minutes for it to get dried so that it don’t transfer all over my eyelids and make me redo my entire eye makeup.

The liner is quite dark and opaque so it is very convenient and you don’t have go over the liner with many coats.

Even though I won’t say it is jet black, but for its price and the quantity we get, the consistency and quality are good. It stays on the eye lids without cracking or fading for around 4 to 5 hours. That is only if you don’t sweat or if you didn’t cry. : P

The liner dries out matte which is something I like. So if you want your eyeliner to look glossy, then this is not for you.

The package doesn’t carry any information about the ingredients. So you are not going to know what you are applying on your eyes. Don’t know whether people with sensitive eyes have any issues with this. If anyone experienced anything, please do let me know in the comment section!!

Would I Repurchase and Recommend:

May be not. Once I get familiarized with the liquid liners, I want to try liners from other brands. But for beginners, it is highly recommended. I tried the other brand liners which are in the affordable range but ended up hating them for some reasons like the brush doesn’t have good bristles or their bristles fall off and makes the application really horrible. If you are a beginner like me, go for this. There other liners available too , that you should check out! Street Wear Egyptian Blue Color Rich Liquid Eyeliner , the L’oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim , Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner , Coloressence InkStylo Eye Liner Pen Waterproof Extremely Slim etc
