Who is it for? When I guess I was in the 7th standard, I had chickenpox. That was when the doctor advised using lacto calamine lotion to soothe the boils and to prevent scarring. That was when I used lacto calamine for the first time. We all have practically grown up using lacto calamine lotion. Today I have come up with the review of this lotion, not because you guys already don’t know about it. But because of the new variants of lacto calamine that are available in the market and which I feel only one works as perfectly as the original Lacto Calamine Lotion.
Rs 90 for 60 ml
What all can it be used for?
The perfect balance of nourishing ingredients is essential to maintain the natural balance of your skin and it’s time you looked further than just any other lotion for moisturizing.
Exfoliates Dead Skin
The rich formulation of the cream keeps your skin fresh and healthy by clearing your skin’s top layer of all dead cells that are hindering a fresh supply of oxygen and sunlight.
Protect Skin from Acne and Breakouts
Active ingredients in the lotion diminish the appearance of acne and any chance of breakouts on your skin by making sure that oil secretion is controlled and foreign bodies aren’t allowed to ruin the natural balance.
Reduces Dark Spots and Blemishes
You look dull and tired when there are a lot of dark spots on your skin, this Lacto Calamine lotion is a lifesaver as it lightens your skin tone and makes your skin look much brighter and attractive.
Controls Excess Oil
Manage oily skin and prevent acne with this lotion because oily skin rarely catches attraction and gets appreciation. Oily skin leads to breakouts that leave you dreading that peek into the mirror so prevent acne with this cleansing lotion.
Enriched with Kaolin and Glycerin
Kaolin helps to cleanse your skin while healing and soothing irritation so your enjoy a thoroughly cleansed top finish for your face, to flaunt all day. Glycerin tends to your skin with delicate care and leaves it perfectly moisturized so every pinch of your cheeks reveals softer and moistened skin.
How to Use:
Dip a clean cotton bud into the lotion and apply on affected or desired area. If you are mixing this with your day cream, mix well and apply a thin layer on face and neck.
My Experience with the Lacto Calamine Lotion
The primary reason for me to write this review was to basically share my experience with both the variants of lacto calamine. Earlier, I had purchased the lacto calamine lotion for dry skin, but somehow it did not work for me at all. Finally, I purchased this oil control version and found this to be the closest to the original lacto calamine.
It is the perfect calamine product on a budget and here is how I prefer using this: Whenever I do a thorough exfoliation, bleach or feel my skin is sunburnt- I apply this as a soothing pack. This relieves the redness and gives instant coolness to the skin.
On a zit, I apply this with an earbud. It soothes the blemish and contributes to drying it. Whenever I have breakouts on my face, I combine this with my sunscreen and apply all over face and neck. Be sure, that your sunscreen provides enough Moisturization, as this will dry your skin out.
Finally, shake really well before use. As we store the Lacto calamine, there is a tendency of the calamine solids and water to separate…and you might end up with a lot of watery substance.
- Soothes blemishes
- Prevents scarring to a good extent
- Suitable as a good everyday soothing makeup mixed with sunscreen
- It is really affordable and fulfills its claims to a good extent-so None!
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
Yes on both counts!
