I’m not someone who is into gels much, in fact, to be honest, I never really indulged in many gels, so I decided to try out some gels recently and I came across a few. One of them was also the Jovees Apple Massage Gel which I got for myself because I had only come across lots of Aloe Vera gels but not one with apples in it so I decided to go for this one.Also its summers so it’s really good to use some or the other kind of gel – something that feels fresh and light because I feel like packing those heavy buttery creams up for winter.Sometimes when I decide to give myself a little home facial I end up scrubbing and massaging my face with a cream which I didn’t feel like doing since it was summers.  Gel sounded so much better and I was also pretty happy with this purchase .let’s see how this fared for me.

WHAT DOES THE BRAND CLAIM–

Oily skin needs special care as it is prone to pimples. Jovees Apple & Vera massage gel has been specially developed for oily skin which will provide requisite moisture balance to the skin. An excellent natural recipe to improve skin texture and making it visibly fairer and radiant.

HOW TO USE-

Apply all over face and neck. Massage gently for 15-20 minutes using outwards and inwards strokes. Remove with a moist cotton swab and wash thoroughly with plain water.

INGREDIENTS-

Sadly only the active ingredients are listed which are namely Aloe Vera, Apple Green ext., Cucumber ext. and Honey.

My Experience  with  Jovees Apple Massage Gel

PACKAGING- I love the packaging of this gel. It’s a dark greenish tube, however, the gel inside is not all that green tinted. The tube is opaque – see-through enough to see the product inside. The tube packaging is hygienic too and the flip top closes securely.

TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY- The texture of the gel is okayish – I can’t say it’s runny or too thick. However when it comes to massaging you can dilute it with a few drops of water in case you like runny gels. The color looks green in the tube so I’m sure some sort of color is used however once out of the tube the gel doesn’t look that colored especially if you see a small amount of it spread over your hands as you can see in the swatch.

FRAGRANCE – A bit hard to describe actually because it’s like a mixture of scents. I could smell some green apple with a hint of sour smell in it (the good kind) and some plant smell. However, it’s not really overbearing and also goes away after washing off. I like the sour green apple smell though.

EXPERIENCE – If I were to sum its performance up I could do that in two words really – HYDRATING AND SOFTENING!

I used this gel after my face wash routine and scrub so that the product was able to penetrate the skin fully and the gel was well absorbed. I advise you guys to do the same too.

The gel felt really cool and nice ( I had dumped the tube in the refrigerator you should try that too) and provided a nice jelly feeling as it wasn’t too runny perfect for massage if you ask me, however, I would have liked it more if it was a bit more solid in consistency. After 15 minutes of massaging I left the gel on for 5 more minutes and then wiped the entire thing off with a damp cloth.

I didn’t notice a vast difference all it did was moisturize my skin well and make it supple, but after the second use, I could feel that my skin was noticeably soft and felt smoother.

Overall Performance of  Jovees Apple Massage Gel

I mean what more can you expect?? sure it does not satisfy the claim of giving you fair skin or improving the texture but I think something like that needs years of good skin care so I don’t really expect that out from a massage gel.

• Makes skin soft and supple

CONS-

• Has the presence of some color for sure
• Doesn’t satisfy the fairness claim

Would I Recommend?

If you are looking for soft skin and great feel then yes definitely this is one good gel to try, provides good moisture and hydration.
