Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream Oil Replacement Cream 5 Precious Herbs Review

Leave in conditioners something we can’t really leave out from our day-to-day hair care if our hair is unmanageable and frizzy. These lightweight hair conditioners work together with hair serums for tangle free hair. Sometimes these leave-in products help to define the natural curl of our hair and give polished look which we often look for through various hot tools. I never fail to use an oil-in-cream leave in the product after washing my hair every time. In winter it becomes an essential step to revert the static and frizzes. Today I am reviewing Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream Oil Replacement Cream 5 Precious Herbs. This Ultra Blend range of Garnier is one of my favorites as it is a paraben free range. I have used most of the variants of shampoos and conditioners from this range. This leave-in cream is also there with me for long. Here are my views on this product.

My Experience with Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream Oil Replacement Cream 5 Precious Herbs

Packaging-

This leave-in cream comes in a green plastic tube with a golden flip-open lid. The packaging looks quite nice and it is very similar looking to other hair care products from the ‘5 Precious Herbs’ line of Garnier. The tube is quite sturdy and travel-friendly. It is available in two sizes and the one I got is the smaller of the two that did not cost me even 100 bucks! The packaging mentions complete ingredient list along with usage directions.

Colour & Texture-

This hair cream has a very pale green color which looks almost white. The consistency is medium. It is not super thick like normal conditioners but at the same time, the consistency is not watery as well. It is a cream so it bound to be creamy but the texture does not make the hair limp. This cream gets absorbed quickly and gives a non-greasy finish to the hair.

Fragrance-

This cream has light herbal and citrus smell to it. The fragrance is exactly same as the shampoo and conditioner from this range. The fragrance does not linger long so do not expect this leave-in cream will give lasting fragrance for the day. In fact, this cream’s fragrance goes off pretty soon and I am left with my hair that smells like my favorite conditioner!

Experience-

I have mixed feelings about this cream. This is a non-greasy leave in conditioner that does not make my fine hair limp but supplies moderate amount of moisture. The hair does not have that much fly-aways and frizzes. Combing becomes easy as knots are lesser. But, this cream does not make my hair look shiny or anything. My hair is my hair after 1-2 humid days. So, you might probably end up using more product in each use. Performance wise this leave-in cream is slightly better than Garnier’s previously launched yellow packaging Oil-in-Cream and nothing more. I don’t use this cream as a pre-shampoo oiling treatment because this product’s consistency is much thinner than any natural oil of my choices like coconut oil or olive oil.

Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream Oil Replacement Cream 5 Precious Herbs Review 3

Pros-
  1. Non-greasy leave-in cream for hair
  2. Controls frizziness and fly-away hair to some extent
  3. Does not limp out the hair
  4. Tangles are lesser with this cream
  5. Provides satisfactory amount of moisture to the hair
  6. Paraben-free formula
Cons-
  1. Result stays only 1-1.5 days
  2. Cannot control tremendous frizzes
  3. Formula is too thin to be used as pre-shampoo oil treatment
  4. Fragrance is not able to take hair of sweaty smell of hair
  5. Excess amount is needed for my dry hair
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Garnier Ultra Blends Oil-in-Cream Oil Replacement Cream 5 Precious Herbs is just a standard leave-in conditioner for my dry and rough hair. It makes my hair frizz free and manageable for just a day or two. L’Oreal’s Oil-in-cream performs better than this so I would not be buying this again. I will suggest this to only normal to oily skinned people as it might not be sufficient for extra dry hair.

Rating-2.5/5

I expected this to work great. I have the shampoo and it smells divine. But sad to hear this didn’t work. You saved me sreeparna.

I would not say it will not work but for my dry hair it was just okay. No extraordinary results to be expected
