My Experience with The Face Shop Damyang Bamboo Gel

Packaging- The gel comes in a cute green packaging which looks like the part of the bamboo shoot. The gel is secured with a plastic lid and a screw cap. Though a bit bulky, it travels friendly as it is surely spill proof.

Fragrance- The gel has a very mild grassy fragrance which goes away as soon as you apply it to your skin.

Texture and Color- The bamboo gel is absolutely transparent without even a tinge of coloration which makes it feel more authentic. It has a very light and smooth texture and spreads like a dream on the skin.

Moisturization- Let us talk about one of the most important thing- the moisturizing power of the gel. It is as hydrating as a gel can be. It can be used as a moisturizer by anyone with super oily skin but it is a definite no-no for someone with dry skin.

My Experience- This gel doesn’t provide enough hydration to my dry skin but it surely gives it a really soothing and cooling sensation. It hasn’t replaced my daily moisturizer but it has become an addition to my skincare routine. But on days my skin feels drained out, I apply a thick layer of this gel to my skin like a sleeping mask and it gives my face a new energy. It is a true boon post a day in the sun giving my skin instant relief and burst of freshness.

Also, as it gives a cooling sensation I have used it as an under-eye gel on many occasions.

The gel also provides a certain relief to slight scratches here and there.

Overall  Performance of The Face Shop Damyang Bamboo Gel

Pros-

1. A good choice for oily and combination skin.
2. Gives a relief to the skin post-sun exposure
3. Can be used as under-eye gel
4. Has a plethora of uses
5. The tub will last you for a long time
6. You get a lot of product for a good price

Cons-

1. The tub packaging is unhygienic to use as you have to dip your hands into the product
2. Not ideal for dry skin beauties.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

I would surely recommend this product to all. Not only can you use it in a million ways but it also lasts you for a long time.
