My experience with Elle 18 Flamingo Manavi Lipstick
Shade and pigmentation:
It is a beautiful coral pink shade which looks like a little neon pink but gives a very light coral pink color to the lips. This shade would look really good on those having fair to medium skin tone. I didn’t really like the pigmentation of this lipstick. One needs to apply its twice or maybe thrice to cover the dark pigmented lips.
texture and feel:
This lipstick comes with a creamy core and the colored part around the bullet. The texture is quite smooth during the application but it feels a little patchy on the lips especially when two or more layers are applied to get the desired color.
The staying power isn’t too good either. The worst part is that it comes off very unevenly which doesn’t look good at all and it needs to be re applied in every 2 hours.
It doesn’t smell too bad or too good, just average. It has a mild fragrance and will go away after some time.
It comes in a black bullet with the Elle 18 icons printed on the cap. It is compact and hence, travel-friendly. But the sad part is it melts too easily which makes it easy to break.
What do I like?
- Smooth application
- Mild fragrance
- Pretty shade
What don’t I like?
- Makes lips patchy
- Poor pigmentation
- Easy to break
- Melts easily
- Low staying power
Would I recommend?
I would only recommend this one to those who are looking for a budget-friendly lipstick with a coral pink shade. But would I purchase it again? Well, it’s a no as it doesn’t really look good on me as I don’t have a very fair skin tone also this lipstick made my lips even darker on the regular application.
