Dove Invigorating Ritual Body Lotion Review: It is very important to bring changes to the skin and hair care routine with the change in weather because products that suit the skin in summer may fall short to satiate the need of the skin in winter. For me, a good and appropriate body lotion is a top priority all around the year. That is why you will see me trying lots of body moisturizers around the year. Today I have come up with a new found body lotion from Dove; it’s Dove Nourishing Secrets Invigorating Ritual Body Lotion. Dove has recently launched 3 new body lotion variants under the name of ‘Nourishing Secrets’ and this Invigorating Ritual is one of them. Dove’s Go fresh body lotion is my absolute summer favorite so I was really interested to try something from this new range. Let’s see how it fares on me.

My Experience with Dove Invigorating Ritual Body Lotion

Packaging- This lotion comes in a white coloured plastic bottle with flip-top cap. In the front side of the bottle there is a graphic representation of the two main ingredients of this lotion; avocado and calendula. The brand has provided the full ingredient list and the claims on the back side.

Colour & Texture– Though it is called a lotion, it is basically a thick white colored cream. The texture of the cream is very smooth and blendable. It takes just two peasize product to cover both my arms. With a few massaging strokes it gets absorbed. I am getting no sticky feeling in my skin in this comparatively less humid weather. But in hot summer months, it will feel heavy.

Fragrance- This body moisturizer has very light calendula fragrance. The fragrance is not super floral yet it has a sweet note. The smell is not overpowering or long-lasting. It takes 10-15 minutes to go off completely.

Experience- I have used all the variants of Dove body lotions except for their Purely Pampering range. The old body lotions from Dove were moisturizing but the more moisturizing ones had a tendency to leave behind some residues. This new body lotion is entirely free from that problem. This one supplies my skin with sufficient moisturization but that too in a non-sticky way. Even if I use a clarifying body wash, it is able to replenish the moisture deficiency afterward. Its nourishing capability is higher than St. Ives body lotions. I can compare it with Vaseline’s Deep restore body lotion. This lotion gives me softer and hydrated skin without oiliness. Also, it did not induce body acne.

Overall Performance of Dove Nourishing Secrets Invigorating Ritual Body Lotion

2. Gets absorbed fast
3. Does not leave sticky residue behind
4. Makes the skin hydrated and soft
5. Does not cause body acne

Cons-

1. None for me!

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Dove Nourishing Secrets Invigorating Ritual Body Lotion is a good nourishing body moisturizer that has suited my skin. I would like to repurchase it again but not this winter; I am eyeing the other variants of this new range now. I will recommend this body lotion to everyone for the coming winter.
