Which are the Top Fashion Schools in India? The fashion industry is one of the most lucrative and glamorous industry in today’s scenario. NIFT, Delhi has ranked no. 1 in fashion schools of India and 17th in the whole World. Established in 1986 it has 16 campuses all over India. NIFT offers four years of undergraduate and two years of the post-graduate program in design, management, and technology.

Admission- for B.Des and M.Des students need to take two written tests i.e. CAT and GAT & for technology and management programs one need to qualify in the national level entrance examination.

  • Pearl Academy of Fashion:

After NIFTs, Pearl Academy of Fashion is the most reputed college in India. It was established in 1993 and has 4 campuses (Noida, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai) which offers undergraduate. Postgraduate and diploma courses in design, fashion, media, and business.

Admission- It has 2 stage admission process of written exam i.e. DAT (Design aptitude test) and GPT (General proficiency test).

  • Amity School of Fashion Technology:

Amity University is among the top private universities in India and so is its School of fashion technology. They provide excellent hand on training to the students and offer different B.des and MBA/PGDM courses. Located in Noida, it offers different opportunities for the students.

Admission- Eligible students have to write a creative test conducted by the college and have to appear for a personal interview.

  •  Symbiosis Institute of design:

Symbiosis Institute of design offers the best faculty and training for a wide variety of courses in communication design, industrial design. Fashion design and  Fashion Communication.

Admission– The students are required to take their own entrance test i.e. Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED).

  •  Vogue Institute of Art and Design:

Vogue Institute of art and design are also known as Vogue institute of fashion technology, Bangalore was established in 1996. It offers 38 courses across 7 streams and 6 specializations. It offers great placement in reputed companies.
