What is Ayurvedic Cleanse? Cleansing our body internally is as important as cleansing it externally. There are times when our digestion gets inconsistent, we start feeling lousy, our sleep cycles are off, and no matter what we do our energy level is not the same as the other normal days. These are just internal signals your body is giving to you.
Ayurvedic cleansing is being loved by thousands and thousands of people in the world. And there are multiple reasons for that. So let’s know all about ayurvedic cleaning.
What is Ayurvedic Cleanse?
Ayurveda means “Science of life”. It always focuses on the betterment of your mind, body, and soul altogether.
Our body is made up of five basic elements- Vayu(air), Agni(fire), Prithvi(Earth), Jal(water), Aakash(ether/space). Improper lifestyle and heavy junk food causes an imbalance in one or more basic elements. This leads to the accumulation of toxins (ama) in our internal body channels. Ayurvedic cleansing works on your 3 doshas(primary element)- Vata (air+ether), Pitta (fire+water), Kapha (water+earth).
Ayurvedic cleansing thoroughly cleanses our body of these toxins (ama). It uses a unique diet and bodywork for each individual. Diets in ayurvedic cleansing include kitchari, rice, recipes including moong beans, easily digestible ayurvedic spices. Along with diet, there are some self-care practices which consist of tongue cleaning, oil massage, etc.

All this can be done at any time of the year, it is most beneficial at the junction between seasons- especially around the start of spring and autumn.

Diet mostly contains whole grains, Kitchari, and vegetables and they are taken with detoxifying tea and herbs. It also includes herbal nose drops coma self-massage with oil, genital sweating. All of this helps in the release of toxins held in the tissues.
