Growing nails can become a task for some people as dirt keeps getting accumulated inside them because of which cutting them frequently might be an easier option. For some other people, their work conditions are such that their nails keep getting chipped so growing them is not an option but mainly, while doing a manicure or pedicure, you aim to get rid of all the pollution and dirt, nails are the breeding ground for bacteria and are one of the dirtiest parts of your body, so cutting them will help you in achieving a better session. We all know how to use a nail cutter, don’t we?
Cuticle pusher and cuticle cutter:
Cuticles may not be the most prominent but not having them makes you hand look way prettier. With the help of a cuticle pusher, push the cuticle separating the cuticle from the nail and then cut them with a cuticle cutter. Don’t use a normal nail cutter for this process as they might cause deep wounds. Using a cuticle cutter might be a task initially but you will get a hang of it with time. You can even cut the hanging skin around your nails with the cutter.
After having cut your nails, they are going to be very rough and shapeless for which you will need a buffer to shape them up. Using a 4 in 1 buffer will help in achieving a glossy and clean look to your nails. Use step 1 to buff out the ends and top of your nails to achieve a clean shape. Use the step 2 to smoothen your nails by buffing it against the top of your nails. Use step 3 for preparing your skin for the 4th step which is to provide shine to your nails.
Pumice stone/foot file:
This tool is used to remove the dry cracked flaky layer on your feet. This helps in exfoliating your feet. Keep your feet in warm water before starting the process of rubbing this stone/filer around your feet.
Using a scrub before starting either of the processes will help in achieving better results as it will help in preparing your skin and would have already done half of the job of exfoliation. This also helps in better blood circulation around these areas. This will help in achieving smoother and softer skin. Take some amount of the scrub and massage it all over your hands and feet.
After all of the exfoliation and scrubbing, your hands and feet require some moisture. This is a very important step that you must not forget at all. After finishing all of the steps, take some amount of your hand/foot cream and massage it all over your hands and feet.
Some optional steps you might want to have:
After the pushing and cutting your cuticles, you can provide them with some moisture and care by using cuticle oil.
Who doesn’t love applying nail polish on their hands and feet? To make you nails look prettier than they actually are, apply some nail polish.
