Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick What’s Up, Doc ?

Product Purchased by GlossyPolish. Summer has finally started and I have also started to gather-up my summer essentials. Like many other makeup lovers, I also love to flaunt vibrant and colorful oranges and pinks during summer. As I sweat a lot, base makeup does not last that long on my skin, so I like to do a little bit of focus shifting with a cheerful coral lipstick or statement neon nails. I do not have that many corals in my makeup collection since I buy orange and red-orange lippies instead. Today I am going to share my views about Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick What’s Up, Doc This wet n wild lipstick is a beautiful coral lipstick. Many of you might have used lipsticks from this color family but for me, it is the first time I am going for a true coral orange for my lips. Here is what I think about this lipstick.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick What’s Up, Doc?

Packaging- This lipstick comes in a black plastic bullet. Its cap is transparent so the shade can be seen without opening the lid. The packaging is just okay in terms of sturdiness. The ingredient list is mentioned in its outer seal. The seal needs to be removed to open the lipstick bullet. The shade name is mentioned in a color-coded sticker glued to the bottom of the bullet.

Shade & Texture- The shade What’s Up, Doc? is a vibrant coral color. It looks super neon in the bullet but on the lips, it tones down to some extent and looks orangish coral. This kind of shade looks pretty on light to medium skin tones. It can be worn for both day and night looks. The texture of this lipstick is creamy and lightweight. It glides on smoothly and applies evenly. This particular shade has a tendency to settle into fine lines a little so it is best to apply in thin coats. I like to blend it in my lips with fingers so that the settling problem gets settled!

Pigmentation and Staying Power- I would say this lipstick is moderately pigmented. I have medium pigmented lips with no hyperpigmentation. I need to give 2-3 strokes to get full opacity. It stays on for about 4-5 hours without meals or drinks. This is a cream finish lipstick so it transfers as well. This lipstick has a clinging tendency. It leaves behind coral red tint to the lips which wear off on its own in at least 5-6 hours. I have tried every makeup removers in my stash but all of them failed to remove this tint.

Fragrance- It has a very faint sweet fragrance. It takes just a few seconds to go away.

Experience- This is a perfect coral shade to create low maintenance fresh makeup looks. This shade, on its own, gives a radiant look to my face. Just a drop of my BB cream, a slight touch of compact and this lipstick is what I am doing these days when in hurry. The staying power is not that perfect but I am okay with my touch ups. I sometimes blot the moisture off to get a matte finish. This way the staying power increases and transferring problem reduces. This is a shade of orange that I can wear every day. A single layer of this lipstick does not feel enough for my lips. I need to build up the color with 1-2 more coats. Performance wise, these lipsticks are comparable to Elle 18 lipsticks.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick E515D What’s Up, Doc is a reddish coral lipstick with a creamy finish. It suits well on light to medium Indian skin. This lipstick brightens up my complexion and gives a summer cool kind of look. I have a whole bullet to finish so, for now, I might not buy the same shade again but I have my eyes on some other shades from this range. If you are someone who loves cream finish lipsticks in the coral shade or someone who is not comfortable with true orange lipsticks will love this shade.
