VLCC Punarnava Astringent

Price and shelf life?

The product retails for INR 160 -/- for 100ml, which lasts you for about more than a month.

The shelf life of the product is 3 years.

How to apply?

After cleansing the face, apply the astringent with moist cotton all over face and neck.

My experience with VLCC Punarnava Astringent

Structure and Packaging

It has been packed in a white colored plastic bottle which is quite handy and travels friendly. The bottle has a flip top cap.

Fragrance:

The fragrance of the product is pretty strong and might bother sensitive noses as it lingers on for quite a while.

Drying?

After applying the product follow up with a good moisturizer as it is an astringent and not a toner, it does not have any hydrating properties, rather it tries to control the oil secretion and hence strips off moisture from the skin. I would also suggest not using the product during winters as the skin tends to be drier.

Effectiveness

I’ve been using this product regularly for 2 months. The product is suitable for normal to oily skin type. It is green in color.

After applying it you get a tingling sensation which stays on for a couple of minutes. I would advise you to not apply it near the sensitive places like near your eyes and lips. If you have sensitive skin I would advise you to do a patch test first and then only use this because the tingling sensation might bother you.

Sometimes my eyes get watery because of the strong tingling sensation.

It effectively takes off all the dust and excessive oil from the skin and any traces of leftover makeup. It helps to tighten pores and prevent acne.

What did I like about it?
  1. It is an affordable product.
  2. Easily available.
  3. Effectively removes impurities from the skin.
  4. Refreshes the skin.
  5. Travel-friendly packaging.
  6. Prevents breakouts.
  7. It does not have any side effects.
What don’t I like?
  1. Might irritate the skin.
  2. It has a strong fragrance.
  3. Not good for sensitive skin.
Would I recommend/repurchase?

The product might irritate the sensitive skin types, so I would recommend this product to the normal skin types.

I am in two minds about using this product because it removes dirt and oil, but at the same time can cause a bit of irritation. I have acne almost all the time and am scared it may irritate the skin. what do u feel after using it, whether someone with acne can use it or not?
