VLCC Haldi Tulsi Facial Kit: The home facial kits from VLCC are quite popular since they promise salon like facial at the convenience of our own home. I have tried 3-4 variants and loved them. In fact, I keep 1-2 variants of VLCC facial kits in my vanity all the time because they come handy when I am feeling lazy for a long salon visit. Recently VLCC has spread their wings towards the Ayurvedic skin care remedies. Earlier in 2017, they launched a new range of budget-friendly facial cleansers under the tag of ‘VLCC Ayurveda’. A month or so ago, they came out with a whole range of facial kits in their Ayurveda series. Today I am sharing my experience with one of them, VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Facial Kit. Let’s read on to know how it fared.

My Experience with VLCC Haldi Tulsi Facial Kit

Packaging- The Haldi & Tulsi Facial Kit by VLCC is a collection of five steps. Product for each step has been provided in identical looking tiny white colored squeeze tubes. All five 10gm tubes are fitted in a translucent plastic tray and packed inside a cardboard box. This outer box carries all the informative details including usage directions and ingredient list for each product. This type of clever packaging is always desired. It is easy to carry and reuse.

Colour, Texture, Fragrance & Experience- Here I am going to present the outlook and experience of the five ‘certified paraben free’ products of Haldi & Tulsi kit one by one.

Step-1. Face Wash- It is a faint yellow color gel facial cleanser. This one creates moderate lather and cleanses my combination skin without drying. It is going to suit all skin types including sensitive skin. It has mild turmeric smell. It is not a cleanser for makeup removal. It is basically a purifying face wash. This face wash is available as an individual product under the name of VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi face wash.

Step-2. Face Scrub- This second step is a light yellow transparent gel scrub with sparely distributed yellow and green exfoliating beads. It has light turmeric and mint fragrance. Both the yellow and green granules dissolve as I gently scrub my face with this exfoliator. The scrubbing granules are not harsh on the skin but at the same time not able to take care of my stubborn blackheads. This one would be good for sensitive skin.

Step-3. Face Gel- This Face Gel is a medium consistency transparent gel. It spreads easily to the skin and gets absorbed as I massage it into my skin. It is a lightweight product and is very hydrating on the skin. It gives my skin a healthy glow and softness. This product again has turmeric fragrance. For my oily-combination skin, this gel works really well. This is one of my favorite products from this kit.

Step-4. Face Cream- Next product is a massage cream. The cream is slightly yellow in color and has a fresh mint fragrance to it. Its texture is moisturizing enough yet non-sticky. It gives enough slip to massage the skin. And more importantly, it gives a light tingling sensation to the skin. I really enjoy the cooling effect of the massage cream. This cream will suit all skin types.

Step-5. Face Pack- The final product of this kit is a Face Pack. This is an off-white color cream base face pack; not a clay based one. Though it dries on the skin quite evenly but does not give crack marks. This has light turmeric and mint fragrance but not exactly similar to the other mint smelling products from the kit. It also has slight cooling tingle effect. This pack does not dry out my skin, so it will do fair to most skin types.

5. Does not irritate active pimples or induce new acne
6. Does not have strong artificial fragrance(all the products have very faint fragrance)
7. The Face Cream and Pack gives light tingling sensations
8. Contains product for two facial sessions
9. Paraben free and preservatives are all organic

Cons-

1. Face scrub is too mild for stubborn blackheads

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Other than the scrub, every step of VLCC Ayurveda Deep Pore Cleansing & Brightening Haldi & Tulsi Facial Kit performed well for my skin and gave me fresh, clean and healthy looking skin. So, I will certainly buy this budget-friendly ayurvedic facial kit again. This is a very mild facial kit and I would suggest it to someone who likes home facials.
