Keeping the lips hydrated is one of the most important and challenging jobs in our day-to-day life. There are many lip balms out there which claim to moisturize the lips and keep them hydrated for around 12 hours. But how many of them are actually, indeed true? In this quest, I purchased Vaseline lip therapy cocoa butter since cocoa butter is known to soothe and moisturize the skin. So, today, I will be reviewing the Vaseline lip balm which has an SPF 15. Details about Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter Spf 15

What is it?

The skin on your lips is thinner than rest of your body. It lacks the top protective layer and so is more susceptible to dryness. Vaseline Lip Therapy instantly softens and soothes helping to repair, not just coat your lip barrier. Made with Vaseline Jelly, it locks in moisture for beautiful, healthy lips. It provides intense hydration and contains antioxidants that help soften dry lips and nourish them. It protects and relieves dry and dull chapped lips while locking in moisture to help them heal. It instantly softens and soothes dry lips and locks in moisture to help lips recover from discomfort. It protects lips from UVA and UVB rays with SPF 15. It contains triple-purified Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, rich cocoa and shea butter, and Pro-Vitamin E (protects against free radicals) and has been dermatologically tested

Who is it for?

For all those who are very particular about not using bare fingers to apply lip balm, and for those who have chapped or dry lips, here is a solution. It contains cocoa butter and SPF as well.

My experience with Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter Spf 15

Packaging

It comes in their usual signature style paper pack which is transparent and the product is revealed through a plastic packaging. The cap is brown in color indicating the presence of cocoa. It is a twist up kind of packaging which is travel-friendly

Fragrance

It has a mediocre fragrance. It smells very lightly on cocoa butter.

Experience

This was an impulse buy. The word cocoa butter impressed me and I purchased this. It didn’t do anything miraculous. It has a very thin texture, just 10 minutes after application, it dries off and doesn’t even lock in any hydration or moisture. I was not at all happy with this product. It doesn’t even coat the lips with petroleum jelly when applied. It doesn’t help solve the problem of dry, chapped and cracked lips. Yes, it doesn’t attract dirt but it doesn’t moisturize as well. So girls, don’t buy this.

Pros

  • Affordable

  • Doesn’t attract dirt

Cons

  • Doesn’t moisturize
  • Wears off within 10 minutes
  • Doesn’t heal cracked, dry lips

Would I repurchase or recommend?

No, I wouldn’t recommend this product or repurchase this product. It does nothing miraculous and doesn’t help with dry, chapped lips.  In my opinion, the tub jelly is a better option
