We have all turned into cynics…at least I guess us so-called beauty bloggers are. Ok, why to generalize; I guess I personally have become a cynic.
Every now and then there comes a new product and I open a single eye, take a peek at it and in my mind discount it as just another gimmick.
We cannot put the companies to blame though. They are constantly striving to provide for our needs.
Take for example the new launches from Vaseline, their spray on moisturizers.
Turns out, hey why didn’t anyone think about this earlier…duh! Just what a lazy gal needs!!

My Experience with Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Spray Moisturizer
This spray-on lotion comes in a deodorant-like a spray can. Nice packaging and lock mechanism. As long as the spray mechanism works fine I have no complaints.
I don’t know what sort of miracle I was expecting out of this, but it clearly isn’t one.
It’s a nice spray can of moisturizer. You need to aim a fine spray and then rub it in. I promise it takes the exact same time to take the lotion out and apply.
I know the lotion is a tad thicker and needs a more vigorous application, but hey you need to aim and spray carefully…time goes there too.
Let’s be fair though,
This is a great product. Not the can, the stuff inside it. Our good old Vaseline cocoa butter. As lovely smelling and moisturizing as ever.
I am wondering why I spent that extra money on a spray can though.
Still, if there is any consolation, this is going to be my back moisturizer. Will last a good 6 months then 😉
Might as well milk it for all its worth!

- Great for reaching the back area for Moisturization, no seriously 🙂
Negatives of Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Spray Moisturizer
- I personally find it to be gimmicky-not value for money
- You need to spray evenly. Might as well rub the lotion in taking extra 2 seconds
- God forbid the spray mechanism stops working, what you will do then. You can cut a bottle opener…spray cans are a hazard.
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
Quite frankly you DON’T need to buy the spray version. It actually doesn’t make a huge difference. This thing is not a spray and forget. You need to rub it in, do the same with the lotion.
Unless you are real, really really stuck for time…this is the same thing inexpensive packaging.
Besides, it takes time to aim and spray evenly, no kidding 😉
