Our country is not an exception to it as well. Here are some tried and tested homemade face packs for enhancing the texture of the skin. These remedies provide smooth, supple, tan and blemish-free skin and you will be able to notice the glow from within!

# Sandalwood-Honey Face Mask

Sandalwood and honey are two of the most effective skin brightening ingredients. Sandalwood clears out the blemishes, reduces the bumps of acne, deep cleanses pores. The essential oil of sandalwood is an excellent healing ointment for sun rays and acne. On the other hand, honey is a natural moisturizer that cures dryness induced dull skin and soothes the skin from sun damages. To prepare this pack, take 1/2 teaspoon pure sandalwood powder and mix 1/2 teaspoon of unadulterated honey to it. Use it on cleansed skin 2-3 times a week and keep for 15-20 minutes. wash off with plain water.

# Orange Peel-Rice Flour Face Pack

Orange peel is an excellent skin lightening agent that also comes with added benefits of reversing sun damage and signs of premature aging. Rice flour and rice water have been used to treat various skin issues including dullness and pigmentation in East Asian countries since ages. To make this scrub pack take orange peel powder and rice flour in equal quantity. Now add some rose water + rice water to get the paste consistency. Apply it in a thick layer and wash off after 15 minutes.

# Rose Clay-Liquorice Mud Mask

Rose clay is a special type of kaolin clay. This mineral clay comes in fine powder and provides the essential nourishment to the skin. Unlike other clays, this is a moisture replenishing clay that every skin type people can use. Licorice is a natural skin lightening ingredient that again suits all skin types. Take 1/2 teaspoon licorice powder and mix it with 3/4 teaspoon of rose clay. Make a medium consistency paste with curd or milk cream. Apply on freshly cleansed skin for 20 minutes. You can use this mask all round the year without any dryness issue.

# Strawberry-Oatmeal Mask for Bright Skin

Strawberries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that help in lightening skin blemishes and rehydrates the skin. Oatmeal is another awesome skin pigmentation curing ingredient that also helps in locking in the moisture to the skin. The oatmeal powder acts as a mild skin exfoliant that helps in revealing fresh skin and it also helps in increasing the absorption of other skin-friendly ingredients. Take one fresh ripe strawberry and crush it. Now, add an adequate amount of oatmeal powder to it and your scrub pack will be ready. Keep the pack on the skin for 15 minutes and then gently scrub the skin with fingertips before washing off the pack.

This pack uses three most easily available yet extremely potent kitchen ingredients tomato, turmeric, and potato. Tomato is rich in Vitamin A and we all know how Vitamin A helps in preventing premature aging and skin spots. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory and it comes with powerful skin lightening benefits. Potato juice lightens the skin very gently. Take a slice of fresh tomato; crush it in a mortar and all 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. Now mix them well adding fresh potato juice little by little until you reach to desired consistency. Apply the pack immediately or the ingredients will lose their benefits.
