When it comes to dish soap, the main problem we face is dryness and roughness of our hands. It is mainly because we have to wash the dishes twice or thrice during the day with our hands and exposing them to harsh soaps make then rough and dry. The dish soaps available in the market are full of chemicals which aid in cleaning the utensils and are not good for hands. What if there could be a way which will not only clean your utensils but also keep your hands soft and moisturized.

Try these Home Made Dish Soap Recipes for Soft Hands !

Recipe 1- Borax and essential oil Soap

Ingredients required-
  1. 1 ¾ cups of water
  2. 1 tablespoon of borax
  3. 1 tablespoon of grated bathing soap
  4. 15-20 drops of essential oil
Directions-
  1. Boil the water in a pan
  2. Mix the borax and grated soap in a bowl
  3. Pour the hot water in the bowl
  4. Mix all the ingredients so that borax and soap is completely dissolved in the water
  5. Let is cool down and set it aside for 5-6 hours
  6. Keep stirring the mixture every hour to keep it consistent
  7. Transfer the mixture in a bottle to make it easy to use
  8. Add the essential oils and shake well
  9. Your homemade dish soap is now ready to use

The liquid would go on easily for around a week and can be made again once it is finished. While the borax will ensure that the dishes are clean, the essential oils will keep your hands moisturized and prevent them from getting rough.

Recipe 2- Jojoba Dish Soap

Ingredients required-
  1. ½ cup of water
  2. 1 tablespoon vinegar
  3. ½ cup sal suds (liquid cleaner)
  4. 1 tablespoon jojoba oil or coconut oil
Directions-
  1. Pour the water and vinegar together in a bowl
  2. Mix them well
  3. Add the sal suds and jojoba oil to the mixture
  4. Whisk the ingredients together
  5. Pour the mixture into a bottle
  6. Shake it well to combine everything together
  7. Your homemade dish soap is now ready to use

Just a few drops of the liquid soap will make your dishes clean and tidy due to the presence of sal suds which is a liquid cleanser. The jojoba oil will keep your hands soft and moisturized.

Recipe 3- Washing Powder and Glycerin Soap

Ingredients required-
  1. 1 ½ cups water
  2. ½ cup grated bar soap
  3. ¼th cup vegetable oil or castile soap
  4. 1 tablespoon washing powder
  5. 1 tablespoon glycerin
  6. 15-20 drops of essential oil
Directions-
  1. Boil the water on high heat by pouring it into a pan
  2. Add the grated soap and mix it till it melts
  3. Pour in glycerin, vegetable oil, and washing powder together and whisk well
  4. Pour the mixture into the bottle
  5. Set the mixture aside for a few hours
  6. After that add essential oils and shake well
  7. Your homemade dish soap is now ready to use

The washing powder/soap and castile soap (made of vegetable oil) would help in cleaning the utensils and dishes. The dish soap is infused with essential oils so that it is gentle on hands and keep them away from getting rough.

Recipe 4- Lemon Wash

Ingredients required-
  1. ¼ cup grated soap
  2. 1 tablespoon glycerin
  3. 2 cups of water
  4. 4 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions-
  1. Put a pan on medium flame and pour in water and grated soap
  2. Mix the ingredients together and stir till soap completely melts
  3. Make sure you turn the flame to light before the mixture starts boiling
  4. Set it aside for few hours and let it cool down
  5. Mix 4 tablespoon of lemon juice into the bowl and stir well
  6. Pour the soap in a bottle so that it is easy to use
  7. Add glycerin and shake the bottle
  8. Your homemade dish soap is now ready to use

Lemon is an amazing cleansing agent and would keep your dishes clean and tidy. The glycerin will keep your hands soft and moisturized.
