Hi girls! Long time, no see 😉 How is the weather treating you?
Getting to the topic at hand, today I will be doing a review on the body shop olive body wash. Now the main reason why anyone would spend more than the bare minimum on a shower gel or a body was h, could either be the fantabulous scent or immense skincare benefit.
Let’s see if this body wash holds up to these two criteria.

What does the Brand Claim about The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel?
Our Community Fair Trade organic olive oil comes from southern Italy. The Nuovo Cilento Co-operative uses traditional production methods. The fruits are shaken from the trees and caught in nets to prevent bruising, then washed and cold-pressed. The co-op also runs courses on traditional cooking, as well as farming and nature-education programmes. To find out more, visit our Community Fair Trade section.
How to Use:
Lather up in the bath or shower using hands or a bath lily. Rinse thoroughly.
My Experience with the Body Shop Olive Shower Gel
This shower gel comes in a sturdy bottle with a flip top cap. The shower gel is green in color with a medium thick gel consistency. A little does go a long way, this stuff lathers well.
It’s a pleasant light un obstrusive fragrance and will not bother even the most sensitive of the noses. It does not dry the skin out…the brand has good fair trade practices.
This is not a bad byproduct, honestly.
But this is not something that is great too. It’s pretty average. The fragrance is not long lasting. It does not make the skin noticeably soft.
Basically it’s pretty same as any Rs 100 shower gel. Why spend 4 times the money on basically the same product…err right?
Positives of the Body Shop Olive Shower Gel
- Neutral fragrance, will not bother those with a sensitive nose
- Lathers really well
- Does not dry skin out
- Not very pricey
- Does not irritate skin
Negatives of the Body Shop Olive Shower Gel
- Pretty Average
- Not very moisturizing
- The scent does not linger long
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
Really, it’s an average product. Buy it all you want on a discount, personally this is nothing special to buy on full price. Don’t get me wrong, not being too harsh. (I hope 🙂 )
