Chicken 65 Recipe: Chicken 65…does the name ring a bell? Well, it does, doesn’t it! Chicken 65 is a spicy, deep-fried chicken dish originating from Chennai, India, as an entrée, or quick snack. The flavor of the dish can be attributed to red chilies but the exact set of ingredients for the recipe can vary.

Actually, it is said that the name was kept because 65 chilies were used per Kilo of chicken!! Spicy much? 😛

The recipe that I am sharing with you, is just laughably easy. I have skipped the curry leaves as back home, friends are not that fond of them…but otherwise, temper the whole dish with some mustard seeds and curry leaves for that Chettinadu Tadka!!

Ingredients:
  1. 500g chicken (you can use boneless if you want to avoid bones)
  2. Garlic 10 cloves
  3. Ginger 5 grams
  4. Chilli powder according to your taste
  5. Salt 1teaspoon.
  6. 1 egg
  7. Chicken 65 masala(if you don’t have chicken 65 masala you can use 1 tsp cornflour, coriander leaves half tsp, pepper 2 pinch, soya sauce 1 tbs)
