St.Botanica Biotin & Collagen Volumizing Shampoo

My experience with St.Botanica Biotin & Collagen Volumizing Shampoo

Packaging :

This shampoo comes in a 300ml royal blue colored leak-proof plastic bottle with a pump dispenser which can be locked and opened by twisting the pump nozzle to the left or rightwards.

Colour and texture :

It is shiny or pearly white in color with a medium/runny consistency.

Fragrance :

This shampoo has a strong lingering fragrance like that of a Jasmin or lavender flower which lasts up to three days.

Experience :

I purchased this shampoo 2 months ago from Amazon (one can get this product online on great discount) as I had fine textured hair which is prone to break easily. This shampoo contains a unique blend of vitamin B7 biotin, natural oils and hydrolyzed collagen which promotes the process of hair thickening and volumizing and biotin helps in hair regrowth.

This shampoo lathers well and is free from harmful chemicals and abundant in essential oils like rosemary, lavender, peppermint and ginger oil. If you have done oil massage before the hair wash you will need to wash your hair twice or thrice depending on your hair.

This shampoo, however, leaves the hair dry and sticky initially and shows no result, but after good use of it for about a month one can feel the hair gaining its volume. One has to make sure using the same conditioner along with the shampoo.

This shampoo has worked satisfactorily for my hair but it took a lot of patience out of me to feel the results.

Pros :

  1. Sulfate and paraben free.
  2. Contains natural oils.
  3. Adds volume to fine hair.
  4. Great lingering fragrance.
  5. Avoids hair breakage.

Cons :

  1. Dries out hair.
  2. Doesn’t clean the hair very efficiently.
  3. Takes time to show the results.
  4. The large bottled packaging make it less travel-friendly.
  5. Not easily available in local supermarkets
  6. Not a value for money kind of product.

Will I recommend it?

Not really, this product does not gives instant or for that matter good/ excellent result. I would not suggest a purchase/ repurchase of this shampoo.
