My Experience with Roop Mantra Lime & Mint Face Wash

Packaging

This face wash comes in a white plastic tube with same color flip-top cap. The packaging is fuss-free and spillage-proof. Various sizes are available for this product and the 2nd smallest pack of mine is travel-friendly. Ingredients are presented in detail but the detailed description of base materials is absent.

Colour & Texture

This face wash is a lemon yellow colored gel with medium density. It is a non-foaming cleanser so it creates minimum lather. Pigment 19140 or tartrazine (a food grade color) has been used as its colorant.

Fragrance

It has a strong lemon fragrance. The fragrance is artificial. I don’t like extremely strong fragrances in my skin care products but thankfully it does not irritate my senses and subsides after rinsing off with water.

Experience

I would say this is a decent cleanser for oily and combination skin. It gets rid of superficial impurities and makes my skin oil free for 4-5 hours. Though I always apply a little moisturizer after cleansing my face with this I don’t get the uncomfortable dry feel if I skip the moisturizer. I am not happy with the brand’s ‘ayurvedic’ or ‘medicinal’ claim for this face wash as the herbal ingredients are present in just trace amounts.

What do I like about this face wash?
  1. Cleanses oily and combination skin
  2. Paraben-free formula
  3. Does not rip off the natural moisture from the skin
  4. Did not cause breakouts
  5. Keeps skin oil free for 4-5 hours
  6. Budget-friendly
  7. Travel-safe packaging
What I dislike about this face wash?
  1. Extracts of lemon, tulsi, mint, and aloe are only 5mg each
  2. Ingredients used for the base is not revealed
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Formula wise this variant is better than the Mix Fruit face wash from the same brand. Though the herbal actives are present in just trace amounts, the formula is paraben free. I might buy it again and suggest it too oily skinned people.

Rating-3.5/5
