Who is it for? Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation 103 True Ivory is for those who love light semi-matte foundations with moderate coverage. Oily and combination skin people would love the texture of it.

My Experience with Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation 103 True Ivory

Packaging

This foundation comes in a sleek matte squeeze tube. The packaging is quite good and hygienic. The desired amount of product comes out of the opening and there is no wastage like bottle packaging. The size is also good to travel with.

Shade

There are plenty of warm, cool and neutral shades to choose from in this foundation range so everyone is likely to find a shade match. However, in India 5-7 shades are available easily. Other shades are most of the time out of stock. My shade 103 True Nude is a neutral undertone one. It matches well with my neck skin. It balances out the redness of my skin quite well.

Texture

The texture is quite thick just like edible mousse. Naturally, less is more with it. It blends well into the skin and gets absorbed in a minute or so. If you are a rookie like me, it is better to apply and blend rather than applying all in one go.

Fragrance

It is a fragrance-free product.

Experience

For everyday makeup, I like BB/CC cream over a heavy formula foundation. This foundation gives natural look to the skin and hides the redness on the cheek area. It does not hide pimple marks or under eye darkness completely but it definitely reduces the appearance of the pores. It feels light on the skin and once set with powder stays on for a good 4-5 hours. It blends effortlessly even with fingers. It does not clog pores; I haven’t experienced pimples outbreaks or any other adverse results.

What do I like about this foundation?
  1. Light to moderate coverage everyday foundation
  2. Comfortable matte finish
  3. Wide shade range
  4. Covers pores to some extent
  5. Does not aggravate acne
  6. Evens out the skin
  7. Buildable
  8. Does not look cakey
What I dislike about this foundation?
  1. I know mousse foundations are not generally full coverage products but I expected moderate to high coverage
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

Certainly!  Like the light feel of it and it gives more coverage than my regular BB cream so I would buy it again. If you want an affordable mousse foundation then give it a shot.

Rating-4.5/5

Thanks Apoorwa :) :)
No. It doesn’t have SPF. Foundations with SPF often looks white in flash photos. Many of my pictures got ruined before so I avoid foundations with SPF. However, I reach for BB/CC creams for day time needs so SPF is them is fine for me..
