Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201 Review

by Aayushi Jain

Hey, there lovely ladies!

My mom recently asked me to buy a nude shade lip color for her.  And as you all know what a chaos it is to find the perfect nude. So, I wore my Sherlock hat and began my quest to find the perfect nude.

After rummaging through most of the brands, my eyes stopped at Rimmel London. They have 8 shades of nudes and pinks from Apocalips, all of which are worth giving a try.

What is it and Who is it for?

It is a super creamy and highly pigmented lip gloss apt for all complexions. The color is intense and shimmery which gives a satin-smooth effect to your lips and enhances the natural color of your lips.

What does the brand claim about Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201?

The collection is ‘the end of the colors’ as you know it. Rimmel London provides intense earth-shattering shades with invincibly smooth shine. What they claim is that it is neither a lipstick nor a gloss… it is BIGGER than both!

How to use?

There is not any particular way to use this lip color. Just apply it the usual way. What I loved the most is the solid brush being provided. This just makes the application process much easier.

My experience with Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201 1

I chose Solstice because it has a little tinge of pink which makes it a better choice. However, I was disappointed with the staying power of this product. It can last for up to 2-3 hours, depends on the way you handle it. Moreover, you need to be extra careful as it is easily transferable because of its creamy texture.

Positives of Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201

  • Highly pigmented
  • Perfect nude shade
  • Creamy satin-smooth texture

Negatives of Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Solstice 201

  • Easily transferrable
  • Less Lasting Power
  • Little Expensive

Would I recommend and repurchase it?

Personally, I am always in favor of purchasing long lasting lip colors. But you can always buy it if you want satin-smooth lips and intensity of a lipstick.
