Revlon Colorstay Waterproof Eye Liner Blackest Black: Eyeliners are soo good, right?  They slide like butter and give the much-needed definition to the eyes which up to the whole look of the makeup. Also, it is so easy peezy to apply them!! Eyeliners or commonly known as kajal is a must have for most of us girls. It is a common trend to play around with various colors of liners these days. But the cult color is black which will always stay, which will always remain in every girl’s make-up purse. The nail colors are amazing and the brand experiments with many shades in the cosmetic line and most of them are a hit today. I will be reviewing the Revlon Colorstay Waterproof Eye Liner, Blackest Black. Read on to know how the product fared for me.

Experience

I purchased this long back and as I was clearing up my make-up drawer, I found this. I started using this and I was very happy about this. This product glides like butter on the eyes. It stays for really long and can be used to get that perfect winged eye look. It takes about 10 seconds to settle on the eyes after which it won’t budge unless you use coconut oil or any other oil to remove it. When I am in a hurry, instead of using eye shadows separately, I smear a little bit of the kohl and blend it using a smudger. But this product can’t be blended at all. Once applied, that’s it. This point was a turn off for me. Also, I realized I paid a huge amount for this product, rupees 490, which is not at all worth it because there are other eyeliners in the market, which give the exact same effect as this product. So I wasn’t very impressed with this product.  Also, it is not cruelty-free or vegan which makes it a bigger no-no for me.

Revlon Colorstay Waterproof Eye Liner Blackest Black 3

Pros
  1. Doesn’t smudge
  2. Water proof
  3. Glides like butter
  4. Stays really long (10 hours)
Cons
  1. Extremely expensive
  2. Not vegan
  3. Not cruelty-free
  4. Not value for money
  5. Very less quantity
  6. Contains lead (which is why it stays for long)
  7. At some point, the liner comes out of the pencil
  8. Needs to be removed using oils like coconut or olive, can’t be removed using water and soap
Would I repurchase or recommend?

No, I wouldn’t really repurchase this or recommend it to anyone since it is expensive and there are many other drug-store brands that offer the same quality of products at a much cheaper and affordable price. I will give this product a 2/5 because it is not affordable and also contains lead which is a huge no-no for me. It might amuse you that I always talk about products containing lead and to go for other options (which may be expensive at the time) but trust me, in the long run, the products that contain lead are not good for our skin and health and it can cause serious complications. So girls, please try and buy products which are vegan and don’t contain lead.

Yeah. I remember using this long back, and wasn’t very impressed either especially because of the difficulty I faced trying to remove it.
