Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Review

Winter has finally come and it is the time to ditch those oil-free summer moisturizers to rush to the heavy cold creams. But it is not the case with me! I have to stick to my nonpore-clogging moisturizers to keep acne problem at bay. There are lots of moisturizers in Indian market that say ‘for oily skin’ still they cause oiliness to the skin and acne out-breaks. That leaves me only a few trusted moisturizers that actually do what they say. Today I will be reviewing Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. I have been using this one a lot since the beginning of the summer but then my all time favorite Neutrogena Oil-free Moisturizer intervened and this one got back to the shelf. I am going to finish this one soon so this is the best time to share my views on this product. Let’s read on to find more.

Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Review

Price- Rs.450 for 50ml

My Experience with Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer

Packaging-

This moisturizer comes in a white colored plastic pump bottle of cylindrical shape. The pump has no locking mechanism but this moisturizer bottle is provided with a transparent plastic cap to secure the dispenser. The packaging is very sturdy, travel-friendly and satisfactory for the price-point. Now, the bottle’s body has product details and full ingredient list. This bottle came in a cardboard packaging that packaging also had this detailed information on it.

Colour & Texture-

This is a lotion moisturizer; slightly thicker than a gel-cream. Its color is pale green-white that looks almost white. The lotion’s texture is creamy initially but it starts to settle into matte as I massage it into the skin. The finish it gives is not completely matte. The skin still feels moisturized with no stretchy feeling. The consistency makes me deduce this product is best for combination skin rather than oily skin.

Fragrance-

This moisturizer has a very light soothing fragrance. I am really happy that this one does not smell like green tea. I can’t stand something with tea fragrance on my face! The fragrance is not long staying. It will not be the cause of a headache!

Experience-

This face moisturizer has shown good results on my acne-prone combination skin. The formula is medium considering other moisturizers for oily skin so it is able to quench the moisture thirst of combination skin. But, it may feel heavy to oily skinned people. The matte effect stays 4-5 hours for me which is again great for someone with my skin type. The star ingredients in this moisturizer are Green Tea and Glycolic Acid. The first one is full of anti-oxidants and the second one is a great exfoliant. This moisturizer was able to take care of my stubborn blackheads after 3-4 weeks continuous usage. Most peeling moisturizers strip off the natural oils from the skin but this one is not one of them. It gives me a healthy and nourished face. However, the nation comedogenicity claim is not completely true. This one has Stearic Acid which is a pore-clogging ingredient. As I have moderately acne prone skin, it did not aggravate my acne though it can do so for the extremely acne prone skin.
