Basic Info about Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Conditioner Almond

The product comes in a sleek inverted triangular tube like most conditioners. With the images of olives, almonds, and other natural hair-care ingredients on the cover, it sends a message that it’s completely natural.

Like other products of Patanjali, the use of this conditioner has increased manifold among both rural and urban crowds. While it is quite effective on healthy hair as a basic conditioner, I am doubtful about its effectiveness on damaged hair.

How is the Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Conditioner- Almond unique?

Most commercial conditioners have heavy chemical compositions. This is where this Patanjali product stands out. Like its name suggests, the conditioner consists of 3 mg. of Olive oil and Almond oil each per gram. While this amount isn’t very large, it is comparatively larger than what most conditioners possess. Its natural composition makes it less harmful on your hair, which must be treated with utmost care. Also, the instructions on the back of the pack ask you to apply the conditioner on the scalp too, which is very unusual of conditioners.

What does the Brand Claim?

Like most conditioners, this product claims to nourish, condition, and detangle hair. It also states that the item reduces hair fall and split ends.  Though this is true to a certain extent, it doesn’t condition the hair to the level that is expected. The conditioning standard is quite basic. Also, it doesn’t quite detangle hair that easily. Thus, I feel the claims are a little far-fetched.

My experience with Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Conditioner Almond

My hair has an oily texture, which is why the hair-ends are particularly damage-free at the moment. Thus, the conditioner is effective on my hair and keeps it from getting frizzy. Though it didn’t make my hair feel particularly soft and shiny, it isn’t completely redundant as a conditioner.

One can use the conditioner if they have minimal damage on their hair, and if they don’t have excessively dry hair. People with healthy or oily hair may find it perfect for them, as their conditioning needs are less.

Also, the fragrance of the product isn’t strong at all. While it lingers a little while after applying the conditioner, it completely disappears after a substantial time.  I am quite picky about the fragrance of my hair products; and in that context, this conditioner failed me a bit.

Overall Performance of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Conditioner Almond

For a 100 gm. pack of the conditioner, the cost is only Rs. 60/. This product beats all others when it comes to its worth. Due to its low price, women from all strata can afford it, and avail of its benefits. Also, the cover includes the name of the product in Hindi too, which makes it further accessible to women in rural areas.

Also, this product is majorly based on natural substances, which makes it less dangerous to use on hair. Like the pack says, the expiry date of the product is prolonged due to its herbal elements.

While the product claims to be natural, we find the inclusion of chemical substances like Parabens and Dimethicone in it. Thus, it is a slight overstatement to say that the product is completely natural. Also, as elaborated on earlier, the product isn’t as effective on hair as other conditioners.

Would I recommend?

Keeping in mind your hair type, choose to buy this as a cheap maintenance product. It’s nothing special otherwise.
