Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash Review

Patanjali has become a staple in the Indian cosmetic industry now. And I, for one, couldn’t be happier. It’s so great that we have beauty products that are just as good as the pricey chemical ones but sans the chemical. Completely natural products we can blindly trust, which actually do deliver on their promise – that’s what I’m talking about.

I have earlier reviewed one of the other face washes of Patanjali – Neem Tulsi Face Wash. I really liked that one and I bought this one to try out some more of their varied face wash range. I had heard only good things about it.

My Experience with Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash

I wasn’t really impressed by it at first because it didn’t really have a fragrance, nor did it leave an icy cool freshness the Neem Tulsi one left. It did clean and cleaned well. But it still felt mediocre.

But after just 2 days, I realized how subtle yet powerful it was. It deep cleanses and leaves the skin utterly soft. Yes, it might not give that minty fresh feel, but you don’t need it when it cleans so well and actually makes you feel fresh.

It’s interesting that it actually felt like pouring honey when I poured it onto my palm for the first time, even puddling up exactly like the bee nectar. But it wasn’t sticky – I checked – probably because of aloe vera and the acidic orange mixed in there. If you look at its contents, the honey to orange ratio is 10:1, and that is why it looks and feels like honey more than anything else. But that’s great, you are essentially washing your face with honey. And we all know how good honey is for our skin.

Overall Performance of Patanjali Honey Orange Face Wash Review

I have to say, it delivered on each of those claims!

I had doubts if it would clean that well if it’s just honey. But it cleans amazingly well and really does clear out impurities. It also leaves your face feeling soft and supple.

The only negative I can say is that it is still serviceable, in the sense that it doesn’t have anything extra to it as you would want. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of orange in its content. If it says Honey Orange in its name, I think it should have Orange a little more than 1/10th of what Honey’s proportion is. I believe it would be even better as the acidic nature of Orange would serve as a great cleanser.

Overall, it a great Face Wash and worth trying out. It is natural and really good for people with oily and/or sensitive skin.

Yay or Nay?

Yes, although I now want to try our every Patanjali Face wash in their extensive collection. But as a stand alone, yes, it is worth purchasing again. I already did!
