My Experience with Parachute Advansed Ayurvedic Gold Hair Oil

Packaging- This oil comes in a brown plastic bottle with a shiny golden screw lid. The oil dispenser is a conically shaped nozzle which can be used to apply the oil directly into the partings of hair. The packaging is very user-friendly in this sense as the application process is not at all messy. The oil bottle, as well as its outer packaging, mentions the ingredient list and other details. The oil does not spill off from the bottle which is again a very good thing. Overall the packaging is sturdy and convenient.

Colour & Texture- The hair oil is a colorless transparent liquid of medium consistency. It is denser than mineral oil rich hair oils but at the same time lighter than most other Ayurvedic oils. Its texture is very easy to spread the product and massage into the hair and scalp.

Fragrance- This oil has ayurvedic fragrance. There is strong fenugreek smell to be identified. I am not too fond of the smell but I can bear it.

Experience- The Ayurvedic Gold Hair Oil works as a scalp nourishment for my hair. I try to apply this at least two times a week the previous night of hair wash. The next day I need less conditioner as this oil supplies my hair with enough moisture. My hair gets less frizzy and slightly shiny. The tangle tendency reduces to some extent. A hot oil treatment with this oil has shown even better results to my hair. The fenugreek smell does not stay after the hair wash which is a good thing to me! But this is not the best oil when I have active acne on my face because it has Sesame oil as the main ingredient. Sesame oil tends to make my acne worse. Coming to the hair fall control claim, this oil needs to be used regularly for 3-4 weeks for hair fall reduction. Now, it is not possible to oil and washes my waist length hair every day. Naturally, my hair fall scenario has not changed a bit (I should not expect it to change as I am not following the proper directions!).

It looks like some of the ingredients are causing adverse reaction that’s resulting in itchy scalp.. It would be best to discontinue with this oil and do consider consulting a dermatologist for the hair fall issue.. ?

Yes you can use this for your hot oil massage.. It didn’t cause itchy scalp or hair fall for me, in fact it reduces itchiness for me…
Since this oil contains ayurvedic ingredients and has been boiled with herbs mixed in it in its preparatory steps, boiling again might reduce the effectiveness of herbs. If you are doing hot oil treatment with it, just warm it up with double boiler; don’t directly put it into flame.
