Oriflame Pure Colour Pressed Powder Review

by Varnika Chauhan

What is it? Oriflamme pure color pressed powder is meant for providing some added coverage and mattify the skin.

Price

INR 329 for 20 grams of product

Shade range

It comes in two shades, light and medium.

The one I am reviewing is the light pressed powder.

Oriflame Pure Colour Pressed Powder 2

My experience with Oriflame Pure Colour Pressed Powder

The pressed powder is packaged very impressively. The pan is black and classy with all the details mentioned on the back. Now, the main reason, I bought this powder is because it was pretty affordable and is almost always at a discount.

It has very pleasant fragrance and comes with a foam pad for application. However, we all know how useless these puffs are! It also has a mirror which can be quite useful for a close look.

I apply the powder using a fluffy powder brush.

Coming to the actual performance of the powder – this face powder provides no coverage what so ever! I guess this is probably because the pigment is too weak but the coverage is not there at all. It is quite a lightweight powder and is easy to pick up on a brush. I would not say that it looked chalky on my face but it did not add any good to it either.

Like most face powders, it does mattify the skin instantly, so that is one good thing about it. But I had to make this product work some or the other way.

So what I did was, I scraped off the powder very lightly so that t looked like loose powder. Once I obtained a little bit, I applied it to my eyes for baking. I dusted it off after 5 minutes and my under eyes looked flawless! It did not let my foundation crease.

When applied normally, it does not dry out the skin and does not look cakey at all.

In conclusion, I would say that if you are looking for some coverage, then you will not find this product useful. However, if you just want a light dust of color and some shine control then this pressed powder is quite good for its price.

The makeup products are not up to the mark. Their staying capacity is less..Most of the products. I agree. Skin care needs to be tried properly before buying. Great review
