Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner Review

by Swathi Murali

Since we are giving Oriflame products a chance, I have decided to share one of my favorite Oriflame products with you. I don’t think you are going to be surprised when I tell you it is an eyeliner! ;) Today I am going to review the Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner.

Details About Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner

What is it?

With this liquid eyeliner, Oriflame claims the following,

Intense shade: A smooth glide of a rich shade of black leaves no stone unturned to give your eyes a dramatic makeover.

Smudge-proof:  Apply this eyeliner in the morning and you will be surprised to find the line perfectly in sync by the end of the day.

Easy to apply: The brush tip applicator makes it easier to reshape your eyes to precision.

My Experience with Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner

Packaging

Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner comes in a super sleek, black bottle. It looks like a magic black vial with a long and narrow cap and a stout bottom. The long, narrow cap helps with the application and makes it convenient for beginners as well.

Shade

This eyeliner is a pure black shade but I wouldn’t say it is super intense. It is a decent shade of black. If you are someone who does not like dark eye makeup, this might actually suit you.

Texture and Pigmentation

The Oriflame Pure Colour Eyeliner is a liquid liner and it has a runny consistency. It is also not heavily pigmented and needs 2-3 coats of application for achieving a dark look. The product claims to have an intense shade but I personally don’t think that is true.

My Experience

I just love holding this eyeliner in my hands! I find the packaging absolutely adorable but looks aside what really matters is how it makes my eyes look. For that, I would say, it does a pretty good job. I am not a liquid eyeliner person. I usually stick to eye pencils and gel liners. But if you asked me to name a decent liquid eyeliner, I’d mention this product. What I really love about this eyeliner is its super long cap which acts as the brush holder. It helps with the application making it super easy for the brush to glide on your eyelids leaving you with lesser eyeliner mistakes.  This is particularly helpful for beginners as well who want to try on the look of winged eyeliners. Moving on to other things, the eyeliner does not take a lot of time to dry and it does not end up smeared all over my eyelids. It actually dries up fast in just a few seconds! Maybe the product might have failed a little at being an intense black shade but it did serve right in the smudge proof case, well at least for a few hours. I use this liner only for my upper eyelids and it stays put perfectly for about 3- 4 hours but after that, it becomes this dull grey shade and me kind of hate that. Maybe, this eyeliner is only suitable for parties or special events where you spend less time hanging around. I am sure no one wants to see their eyeliner fading away into nothing.  I usually apply 2 -3 coats letting it dry between each coat so that it stays a bit longer.

Other than the fading part, the pigmentation seems decent..
