Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Blotting Tissues Review

by Sreeparna Ganguly

When you have full face of makeup on and your skin is getting oily, a regular tissue is the best option to get rid of the excess oil keeping the makeup in place. Sometimes there is no scope for those touch-up visits to washroom. Facial blotting tissues often come handy in these ‘critical’ situations. Even a few months ago I was completely unaware that something called ‘face blotting tissue’ exists. But now I cannot even leave my home without a bunch of these oil blotting sheets stacked in mu purse! Today I am getting you acquainted with Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Blotting Tissues which is enlisted in my current go-to product list.

My Experience with Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Blotting Tissues

Packaging- The Oriflame blotting sheets come in a tiny rectangular cardboard envelop. Bright leaf green and white coloured packaging increases the attractiveness. The opening flap of the pack has a little glued area which pulls out one blotting sheet from the stack at a time. The dispensing system is quite nice and hygienic!

Colour & Texture- The oil blotting sheets are made up of very fine paper like material and is coloured in green. The texture resembles of ink blotting paper but these are super thin. The size of the paper makes it possible to reach even the most tricky corner of the under eye area. When the paper blots some oil its texture changes into translucent.

Fragrance- These tissues are fragrance-free.

Experience-I am quite happy with the performance of these blotting papers. These papers are able to get rid of the excess oil from the face without hampering the makeup just a slightest bit. These tissues need to be dabbed gently on the skin where there is excess oil. It takes off the oiliness but does not make the skin super dry. Sometimes oiliness makes the makeup appear darker. These tissues make the makeup look fresh again.

For each application I only need one tissue to cover my full face. So these 50 sheets will have 50 applications. One ply of paper costs almost Rs.4. It is certainly costly than a normal face tissue. For the days I am not doing heavy makeup, I tear one tissue in two and use one at a time. That makes two uses out of one tissue! However, in the humid summer months just a half is not enough.

I have heard about this. People expect this to be a wet tissue, but it supposedly isn’t wet right?

No it’s not a wet tissue. It looks like a thin flap of green coloured paper :-)
