I have a confession to make.

I have never understood why someone would want to use facial cleansing cloths on a regular basis. I mean, unless you are travelling or are a makeup artist who needs to correct makeup a lot, why would you need facial cleansing wipes. Actually the most sensible use you can have for facial wipes is if you go to a gym and need to sanitize the surfaces/or wipe your face off before a quick shower.

Why you ask?

Here is what I feel. ALL makeup wipes kind of leave a residue on face which I literally itch to wash off. It is more like cleaning something off your face and replacing them with something else.

YET

I go ahead and buy them. It is a weird kind of OCD, buying stuff that I don’t need! Sigh…

Anyways, I went ahead and purchased these wipes by Ole Henriksen, because they are touted as one of the best,

Let me take an objective take on these and decide if I am a convert or not!

My Experience with Ole Henriksen the Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths

 

These facial towlettes or cloths come in a standard packaging like all other facial towels. You have to just open the sticky top flap and take out the towlettes. Be careful to tightly seal it back.

The towlettes have a textured surface and are really excellent for correcting makeup mistakes and for using once in a while to cleanse your face. They smell citrusy and fresh and I know I am not using substandard ingredients on my face.

 

BUT, this future me wants to go in the past and ask what was I thinking?

I use facial wipes only for travel purposes. Yes they are great for fixing makeup too. But I will never recommend anyone to use them on a regular basis. No matter what anyone says, facial towlettes are bad for your skin in the long run.

So if you don’t have to use them regularly, there is NO point in spending this much on ole Henriksen when good quality wipes from body shop come at half the price.

Besides, no matter which brands wipes you buy, within a month of opening they all dry out and become generally useless.

I made this mistake. I will never recommend anyone to spend this much money on an average product. There is nothing wrong with this product, but there are many cheaper alternatives.
