Ogx Moisture + Vit B 5 Shampoo Review

Its winter and the season for my hair to act all frizzy and weird….so I was scouting around for a moisturizing shampoo. I thought of trying out OGX moisture +Vit B5 shampoo this time…it’s been a few weeks I have used this and I have some really honest feedback about it.

Let’s check out my experience and see how this product fared.

Basic info of Ogx Moisture + Vit B 5 Shampoo

Price: Rs 725/- for 385 ml (you can get it for lower prices on Amazon and nykaa rarely…they don’t usually give major discounts)

I bought it on Nyaaka for a minor discount

Brand Claim 

All OGX products clearly state that they have an unconventional approach towards beauty and they always focus on organic ingredients and ecological conservation via their friendly packaging.

The B5 shampoo not only promises to deeply moisturize the hair…it also pumps in Vit B5 (the strengthening compound behind hair) to restore the internal strength of tresses. So let’s check out whether the shampoo really delivers??

My Experience with Ogx Moisture + Vit B 5 Shampoo

The ingredient list on the bottle shows a bunch of chemicals…unlike some other variants of OGX Shampoos this isn’t a purely or even majorly organic product. The bottle has that typical OGX Shape which is kind of cute and is a little less bulky than the usual shampoo bottles (this is a positive point).

The container comes with a flip cap which tends to act flimsy. I have noticed it coming off every time I try to flip the cap open…haven’t taken the bottle traveling with me yet but I am wary of potential spillage.

Now for the positives…the bottle has a glimmering orange color that I totally loved. The fragrance of the shampoo is mild and a combination of fruity and floral. The fragrance doesn’t stay for long and it isn’t overpowering and for me, that’s a positive. The shampoo consistency is runny and the color is transparent…it takes a little time to work up a lather.

Once I washed my hair it looked softer and more manageable. I actually used very less conditioner afterward. My hair is fine and I tend to have flyaway which this shampoo reduced to some extent

Overall Performance of Ogx Moisture + Vit B 5 Shampoo

The OGX Vit B 5 shampoo isn’t heavy…it’s rather a light shampoo so it should be suitable for frequent use. I would say that the product is well suited for people with dry/ damaged/ brittle and frizzy hair…it does give the hair more body and strength.

Note that this shampoo takes some time to get absorbed on the scalp and then do its work. Leave it on for at least 40 seconds and then wash it off before following this up with conditioner.

The OGX Vit B5 shampoo works well for me so far and I am happy with its performance. I would give this product a 4.5/5 rating.

Would I recommend?

I would recommend this shampoo happily to people who would like their hair to be more manageable. This one works well in the winters and controls all that unwanted frizz. Go for it people!!!
