My Experience with Ogx Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo
This Shampoo comes in a blue plastic bottle with a golden lid with the flip-open mechanism. There are no pictorials in the bottle; the informative details are all represented in a written manner. Complete ingredient list and claims are presented in the pack which is absolutely necessary for my opinion. It gives a fair chance to the users to get to know the product better. Overall the packaging is simple, spill-proof and travel-safe.
Colour & Texture-
The Shampoo is basically a transparent liquid with very faint off-white color. Its formula is very mild and creates the just satisfactory amount of foam. Though it is a moisturizing hair wash its composition is not creamy like Dove shampoos. The texture looks similar to gel type clarifying shampoos minus harshness! This one spreads easily and rinses off quickly as well.
The shampoo has a mild fragrance with floral notes. The smell is very similar to the conditioner from the same Argan Oil range. The fragrance is not long staying.
I am trying out the shampoo-conditioner combo of Organix’s Argan Oil of Morocco range. This shampoo is the first step of my hair wash routine. I generally wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I use this shampoo when I am not doing heavy oiling before shampoo. This shampoo is milder than most other widely available shampoos for dry hair. One of my all-time favorite shampoo is Dove’s Intense Repair. I could find a number of differences between Dove one and this Ogx one. This Ogx shampoo is not cream-based like the Dove’s but still, it is mild enough with its less-foam formula. It does not over-dry my hair but it alone falls short to control my crazy frizzes. I need to follow up with a conditioner or it will take too long to get rid of the tangles from my hair. However, this shampoo does give a bit of volume at the roots and a slight shine. From the ingredient list, I could make out the harsh sulfates have been replaced by milder cleansing agents. Now, this is something we all desire. I am quite happy with the Argan Oil range because when the shampoo and conditioner come together, the result is really nice for my curly-wavy hair. My curls can define them on their own and it is a lot easier to style when my hair becomes manageable.
- Mild formula free from sulfates
- Cleanses scalp without drying my hair
- Does not make my hair limp
- Works really well with the conditioner of the same range
- Light floral fragrance
- It is not very pocket-friendly
- Smell should have stayed a bit longer
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
I would recommend Ogx Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo to everyone who wants a mild sulfate free shampoo for dry and damaged hair irrespective of hair type. I would like to buy the full size of it but I want to try the other variants of Ogx shampoos as well!
