Hello pretty ladies, Like every other Indian girl, I also love wearing dark lip colors and avoid nude colors. But today I am going to review my latest purchase from NYX soft matte lip cream which is a sort of pinky nude shade. This shade will compliment the summers. As summers are coming up, then why not review it now:=)

The shade I am going to review is TOKYO.

Basic info about NYX Tokyo Soft Matte Lip Cream

Price: Rs 545 for 8 ml

The brand claims: “it’s not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing you’ve experienced before. It’s lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.”

Shade: The NYX soft matte lip cream is in shade TOKYO which is a nude shade with a hint of pink in it.

Stay: NYX soft matte lip cream stays on your lips for quite a long time. But darker shades stay more than lighter shades.

The lip Swatch is from my selfie camera with no flash.

Experience: I personally love darker shades. The reason to buy this nude shade was only to try something new. This shade will go with lighter skin tone people. This is not suitable for darker skin tones. It’ll wash out your face. I have a light brown complexion still the color doesn’t look good on me.

Overall performance of NYX Tokyo Soft Matte Lip Cream

The shade is pretty, no doubt but will go with only lighter shade people. For Indian skin tones, this color will wash you out.

Pros:

  • Matte Finish
  • Easy To Apply
  • Long Lasting
  • Wide Range
  • Light Weight
  • Creamy Texture

Cons:

  • Doesn’t go with medium and darker skin tones.

Would I recommend/repurchase it?

No, I would not recommend it to Indian people, because our skin tone does not compliment with this pinky nude shade. The nudes Indian skin tone will compliment may include browns and some darker colors.

I would not repurchase this shade again.
