My Experience with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream London

Shade:

My experience with London is very similar to that of Abu Dhabi. I got a pack of three nude lip creams- Stockholm, London and Abu Dhabi. London and Abu Dhabi look pretty similar however when you apply it you realize that London is a color with a pinch of brown. Abu Dhabi has a pinch of pink. Stockholm is visibly pinkish nude. All of the shades are great and bring out the vibrant features of your face. I pair my nude lip creams with smokey eye makeup to get a perfectly balanced look. They are also great for a natural makeup look.

Finish:

They have a brilliant satiny matte finish and are much much softer and creamier than most matte finish lip colors. They do dry up your lips but not as much as other matte lip colors.

Stay:

They can last for 6 hours without much fading if you avoid eating or drinking much. It’s super affordable and easily available. It doesn’t have any particular smell and comes with an applicator.

Texture:

The texture is very smooth and glides easily over the lips. It takes around 20 mins to dry up.

Pro Tip :

My suggestion is that you avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 mins after applying it.

Overall Performance of NYX London Soft Matte Lip Cream

If I may be a little honest there isn’t much difference between the shades London and Abu Dhabi. Hence buying both seems a bit redundant. However, I got a discount when I got all the three together so maybe that’s a plus point. It’s also pretty drying. You won’t even realize it until after an hour or so of application. In some cases, if you rub your lips hard it might even chip off. This is frankly the only flaw with this lip cream. But you can rectify it by using a chapstick before applying the lip cream. Otherwise, it’s perfect. I have all the nude shades and it looks amazing on me. Considering the price and availability it’s a great bargain even comparable to mac and kylie lip kit shades.

Would I recommend?

Just like Abu Dhabi, it’s perfect for beginners and dabblers who wish to explore affordable good quality makeup. This little item has the potential to make you look like a million bucks. You can team it up with casuals, formal or even party look and still nail it.  Take my word for it and give it a shot.
