NYX Dark Circle Concealer :We all have our share of bad hair and skin days. But, I have bad under eye days as well because I have a tendency to develop pretty severe looking dark circles. Concealing becomes a must for me those days or I have to skip on eye makeup. The intense eye looks to attract a lot of attention to my dark circles come under the radar of focus easily. Plus, raccoon eyes do not look flattering with heavy eye makeup. It is not possible to apply layers of highlighting and correcting concealers for day to day basis so I was looking for something that can give me the benefits of concealing and correcting for some time now. Today I will be reviewing one such 2-in-1 concealer, NYX Dark Circle Concealer. Here is how it performed.

My Experience with NYX Dark Circle Concealer
Packaging- This concealer comes in a tiny transparent plastic tub with a black screw lid. This tub is packed inside a cardboard box. The outer box not only keeps the concealer tub secure but also holds necessary information like claims, a complete list of ingredients etc. The packaging is very compact and travel-friendly.
Shade- There are 4 shades in the NYX Dark Circle Concealer range; 01 Light (pink toned), 02 Fair (salmon toned), 03 Medium and 04 Deep. The first two shades will be suitable for very light skin tones with cool undertones. The shades 03 and 04 are however will be suitable for warm-toned Indian complexions. I am in the shade 03 Medium. My shade is a yellow-orange concealer + corrector shade. It corrects purple or bluish dark circle.
Coverage- I would say the coverage is medium. From my swatches, you can easily see that it has been able to cover up my heavy dark circles to a certain extent but could not cover completely. For those who have less severe dark circle than me, it would give full coverage.
Texture & Finish- The texture of this concealer is quite smooth, creamy and super blendable. We all know the under eye area can be too drying sometimes. That is why the consistency of it is great for an under eye product. Though I apply a suitable under eye cream before applying this concealer for better blendability, the texture remains blendable without concealer too. After blending, the concealer sets into a comfortable non-oily finish. I can set it with powder then.
Staying Power- Though this product has just medium coverage, it has an amazing staying power. It stays on for 5-6 hours in less humid weather and up to 5 hours in sweaty weather with almost no creasing. After that period I do a touch-up with pressed powder if it gets oily. It increases the stay by 1-2 more hours.
Fragrance- It is a fragrance-free product.
Experience- NYX Dark Circle Concealer is not designed to cope up with Indian complexions so I was a bit confused while choosing my shade. Fortunately, the shade 03 proved to be my correct match. This concealer is very lightweight. I use it for both day and night looks. For day looks I use only this concealer and some powder foundation under my eyes. But, in night looks I sometimes use a highlighting concealer over it. The light formula of this concealer does not meddle with the highlighting concealer for which I am very happy. Previously I used only highlighting concealer and that created a shade mismatch in my dark under eye region. This NYX concealer makes up for that discrepancy. The key to getting the best out of this concealer is to use little at first and then build up adding little product at a time and blending properly.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
NYX Dark Circle Concealer is the most comfortable, blendable and less-creasing product I have come across so far. So, I would buy it again in spite of its medium coverage. I can use it in the daytime as well. I would recommend shade 03 for someone with fair to medium Indian complexion with a medium intense blue-purple dark circle.
