In winter we have to shift to more moisturizing shower options leaving behind the regular gel body washes. Our body’s skin does not have that much oil secretion like our face. So, external nourishment plays an important part in the overall health of our skin. Almost all of us have used the original version of widely popular Nivea Creme at some point in our lives. For me, this cream has become synonymous with a perfect winter skin chap remedy. Today I will be reviewing this cult favorite cream’s body wash counterpart; Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower. This is one body wash that always stays on my winter must-have list. Over the years I have found out many alternative usages of this product too. Let’s check out the review to find out more.

My Experience with Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower
Packaging- This shower cream comes in a blue plastic squeeze bottle. The bottle is quite strongly built and so is its flip cap. All Nivea shower gel bottles have the same shape but this one is opaque. So, you can’t make out how much product is left. The packaging has very sober outlook. Other than some minimal label graphics everything is in written format. The complete ingredient list is provided.
Colour & Texture- This is not a shower gel; it is actually a creamy body wash. It is white in color and its consistency is runny. It is very moisturizing on the skin. It leaves a layer of moisture as I rinse it off from the skin. It is a good choice for winter as it does not make the skin all dry and stretchy. However, the formula feels quite heavy for my skin in summer.
Fragrance- This body wash has a very mild soothing fragrance to it. The fragrance is very similar to Nivea’s world-famous Creme that comes in a blue tub. The fragrance is not long staying. A major part of the scent goes away as soon as I wash it off.
Experience- This body wash is quite moisturizing on the skin. It cleanses skin well and does not give the excessively dry feel. Being a moisturizing wash, it takes thorough rinsing and plenty of water to go off from the skin completely. It can be used with or without loofa. With loofa the lather is a lot more. The after effect of this body wash is quite remarkable. It makes the skin smooth and soft. It cleanses off impurities and helps to get rid of body odor. Due to its creamy texture I often use it for shaving my legs. It gives enough slip for the razor to move without nicks. This is a perfect winter product for my normal to dry body skin. Its smoothening effect lasts longer if I follow it up with a body moisture on the damp skin.
