Neutrogena SPF 50 Review: Sunscreen is a life savior. Tanning, ageing, spots, freckles…most of them are caused due to sun exposure. Still, I see there is no culture of religious Sunblock use! 50 % of your skin problems will get solved or will not occur if we start using sunscreen daily. You know, sunscreen has actually nothing to do with direct sunlight. It is not the sunlight, but the solar radiation that damages our skin. This is why; even in winters and on a rainy day, you should NEVER skip sunscreen.Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 50 Review (2)

A few months back, a friend of mine was travelling to Goa. She was utterly frantic…looking for this exact sunscreen. I asked her, what is the big deal about this? She told me then, it is the BEST sunscreen ever and the ONLY protection from beach sun. After listening to her, I thought well let’s give it a go! See how it has performed for me 🙂

What is it and who is it for?

My Experience with Neutrogena  SPF 50:

This sunscreen comes in a very convenient tube packaging. It is very handy to carry around in your purse, without the fear of leakages.

The cream runny, more like a lotion. I suggest you shake the tube well before using it. This lightweight texture is a blessing. It spreads really easily on the skin. It does not leave behind any whitish cast or greasiness. In fact, this is a matte finish sunscreen. Those with oily skin will absolutely love it. It is great beneath the makeup as it does not affect how the makeup gets applied, or its staying power. It is not a drying sunscreen, only mattifying. This is why; it is suitable even for dry and sensitive skin types.

The sunscreen really works. I have myself tried it and am a total fan of it. It has protected my skin from tan by 90%. Works great and is a must have. Since this sunscreen does not have antioxidant benefits, mix it with your favourite night cream or day cream to form the perfect cream with SPF. Make sure, that the creams you mix it with do not have Retinol of AHAA/BHA. As a rule of thumb, retinoids and hydroxyl acids must NEVER be used during day time. Also, these ingredients make the skin sensitive too sun damage…so if you are using a night treatment cream for anti ageing; make sure you liberally apply sunscreen the next day.

Positives
  1. Prevents sun damage
  2. Protects from tanning
  3. Matte Finish
  4. Suitable for all skin types
  5. Affordable
  6. Easily Available
Negatives
  1. None at all!!

Would I repurchase and recommend?

For sure. You MUST have this sunscreen. It is the best sunscreen available in the market, which I know of. It is THE product to have, to keep your hands and feet tan free. Apply it on your face with an antioxidant cream, to keep the youthful glow.

GlossyPolish Verdict

5/5 Perfect
