My love for Nazriya Nazim started after the famous 2014 film Bangalore Days. Nazriya is a movie actress, singer and TV host who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. The bubbly and chirpy child actress from Palunku movie stole many hearts and multiple best actress awards for her praiseworthy acting in Bangalore Days, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. After taking a long break from her film career, Nazriya has made a stunning comeback in 2018 Malayalam film Koode.

Nazriya is the first child of Nazimuddeen and Begum Beena. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a homemaker. She has a younger brother Naveen Nazim who is going to debut in Malayalam film Ambili.
On 21th August 2014 Nazriya got married to famous Malayalam actor Fazadh Faasil at the age of 19, after a short press release by Fahadh about their wedding in January 2014. According to the couple, their relationship started on the sets of Bangalore days where they played characters of the married couple. At the time of marriage, Nazriya was only 19 and Fahadh 32. Their huge age difference created quite a buzz at that time.
When Nazriya was just a baby, her family lived in Al Ain, UAE. So, her first school was Al Ain’s Our Own English High School. Later her family shifted to Thiruvananthapuram and she finished her schooling in Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School. She got admitted in Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram but could not graduate due to work pressure of her acting career. It is not clearly known what she chooses for her majoring subject but in an interview, she disclosed it was related to business education.

Nazriya’s acting career started as a TV host for quiz show named Punyamaasathiloode for Muslim audience in 2005 and then she got another TV show on Kairali TV called Shruthilayam on Kairali the same year. She got her first film Blessy’s Palunku in 2006 as the baby girl of megastar Mammootthy and The Munch Star Singer Junior show on Asianet Tv brought her into the limelight. She started to become popular among the Malyali youth audience from her role in the Nenjodu Cherthu song in music album Yuvvh by Sony Music Entertainment. Her chemistry with Nivin in this song attracted lots of attention and the pair appeared in Tamil-Malyalam multilingual film Nerum, 2013. Nazriya made her Tamil debut in the same year in Raja Rani movie opposite Arya. After raja Rani’s success, she played the female lead in Naiyaandi opposite Dhanush. Naiyaandi did not fare well in the box-office and also created severe controversies regarding the use of body-double in intimate scenes without Nazriya’s consent. In 2014, film Ohm Shanthi Oshaana brought huge success to Nazriya and she got her first Kerala State award for her awesome performance as a snob girl. In the same year she did another rom-com Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah but that did not farewell. Malyalam movie Bangalore Days in 2014 was the best movie in her career which brought her another Kerala State Award and also huge fame as a playback singer in the song ‘Ente Kannil’. Her character Kunju opposite Fahadh Faasil got lots of appraisals. She also got married this year with Fahadh and took a long break from her film career. She made her comeback as the female lead in psychological drama film Koode in 2018 and this year she also introduced her production company with Malyalam thriller movie Varathan opposite her husband Fahadh. She has two upcoming releases this year; one is Trance and the other’s name is not yet disclosed.
Apart from the teo Kerala State Awards, she has Vijay, Vanitha awards, multiple Asianet, Asiavision and Filmfare awards in Best Actress, Best Character Actress, Best Supporting Character and Best Star Pair category in her bag for Neram, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana and Bangalore Days.
