By now all of you’ll know..but I’m still going to say it again. I’m lipstick obsessed and whenever I get the opportunity, I buy them. I just can’t get enough of lipsticks. So recently, when Nykaa was having a sale, I couldn’t not buy lipsticks. I picked up the Maybelline Pretty in Plum Color Sensational Lipstick along with a few others.

My Experience with Maybelline Pretty in Plum Color Sensational Lipstick

For very long, I’ve been searching for a lovely lipstick shade in plum. While I did manage to find shades in plum, none of them gave me the ‘this is it’ feeling. And so when I saw this up on Nykaa, it looked nice so I was like why not, let’s try it. If you’re wondering if this shade was the ‘this is it’ one…then no, it wasn’t. But, it definitely is a lovely shade. The bullet is placed in a silver casing with a nice transparent like the purple cover. Overall, the packaging is decent. The base of the casing has the shade number and name. The lipstick has a slight fragrance to it, which I’m not a fan of.

When you first apply it, the shade is extremely sheer. But I love that you can build up as much as you want to.(I will attach a picture of the lip shade with just one coat and another after a couple of coats.) Even if you layer it with a couple of coats, it doesn’t feel cakey at all. It’s got a very creamy texture to it and is very moisturizing on the lips. If you have dry, flaky lips, like most other lipsticks, this one too will accentuate that. While it’s not shimmery and has no glitter to it, it’s got the right about of gloss. The lipstick lasts for a few hours and once it’s off, it does leave a slight stain to the lips, which is obviously a good thing. In terms of pricing too, the product is very good. I was lucky though, I picked it up during a sale and so I got a 30% off the MRP.
