My experience with Maybelline New York Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick
Packaging
The packaging is travel-friendly. The shade is depicted by the body of the container and it has a white cap with an applicator brush attached to the cap. The applicator has a doe-footed brush that glides on the contour of the lips easily.
Texture
It has a smooth, easy to it apply texture, which dries soon and settles on the lips comfortably
Shades
It comes in 10 different shades that can be used for different kinds occasion by different skin tones. They suit all kind of Indian skin tones.
How to use
Step 1: Apply liquid lipstick in the center of your upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 2: Glide the liquid lipstick across the entire bottom lip.Fragrance
It has a mild floral fragrance which I don’t mind since it vanishes by 20 minutes of applying the lipstick.
My first impression on Maybelline New York superstay matte ink liquid lipstick
I have always been a big fan of liquid lipsticks since they are not drying and cover pigmented lips and come in a variety of shades to suit all Indian skin tones. When I saw that Maybelline launched ink liquid lipsticks, I wanted to try them. I applied the shade believer on my lips, which is a mauvish-purple lip shade that actually suited me well. The doe-footed applicator glides on the contour of the lips giving the right amount of product on the lips without making it dry. It dries soon so be careful when you are applying the second or third coat of it. These are extremely pigmented lipsticks. 6 hours and counting, the lipstick was still there, without transferring, bleeding or smudging. Also, there was no feathering which was a huge plus point for me. I usually scrub and moisturize my lips prior to applying any lipstick. There are 10 different shades to choose from. There are a few things that I didn’t like as well. It is very difficult to remove the lipstick. You need to use a makeup remover or an oil-based remover otherwise, it will leave behind stains. Obviously, for it to stay this long, it needs to have loads of chemicals and one of it is lead. But still, if you avoid licking the lips, it won’t harm you. In all, I love this lipstick and will buy one shade at least.
